Ancient Xane Strategy
Use a Player Phase Strategy
This map has no refresher units and the enemies are grouped up in one area, making it a perfect map for both Hit and Run and/or Galeforce strategies.
The enemies will not advance on the first turn, giving you time to set up your units until you're ready to begin.
However, if you do not engage on the first turn, the Cleric will set up Ice Terrain using Ice Lock+.
Bring a ranged cavalry unit and snipe down any foe on turn one, then retreat back using movement assists and/or Canto, taking note that the Cleric also has Canto Control 3.
The enemy units will advance, but be unable to reach your units if you positioned yourself properly. Use the remaining turns to attack and retreat afterwards until the map is clear.
Tank Strategies are also viable
Tank strategies are also viable on this map as there are no enemy units that are too threatening except for Ancient Xane himself.
Ancient Xane will copy the stats of his allies within 3 spaces. You can take advantage of this by separating him from allies with high stats, such as the Sword Knight for Atk/Def, the Thief for Spd, and the Cleric for Res. If Ancient Xane is more than 3 spaces away from the Cleric, attack him with magic damage. If Ancient Xane is 3 spaces away from the Sword Knight, attack him with physical damage.
If you have heroes with cleansing effects on enemy phase like Freyr or Attuned Micaiah, bring them for support in order to prevent the Thief's Pulse Up: Ploy from sticking debuffs onto your units.
Other than this, the tanking strategy remains the same. Bring your tank unit forward and place the support units behind him/her, or just form up a ball if you're using tanks with Savior skills.

Axe Armored Eagle's Heart has built-in Canto and grants Edelgard an extra action and bonus true damage. Pure Storm grants an extra action, debuffs enemies, and grants Edelgard bonus true damage. Inheriting Galeforce can grant a fourth action per turn, but will reduce firepower due to the lack of Armored Blaze. |

Lance Armored Black Yule Lance creates 【Divine Vein (Flame)】 tiles, grants Special cooldown charges pre-combat, and cuts the effectiveness of enemy damage reduction skills.
