With Striders, players can walk on lava blocks!
Use a Saddle on the Strider to be able to ride it. If you want to control the direction in which the Strider will move, be sure to equip a Warped Fungus on a Stick.

Feeding two Striders Warped Fungi will cause them to go into Love Mode and breed. Afterwards, the pregnant Strider will spawn a baby Strider, which can grow faster into an adult when fed more Warped Fungi.

Striders can only be found walking on lava in the Nether. Some Strider spawns are found ridden by baby Striders or Zombified Piglins.

Striders have the ability to walk on lava. Being a passive mob, Striders will not mind the player and will wander around the Nether freely.

When not on lava, Striders tend to walk much slower and are all dried up in appearance.
However, they will return to their original appearance the moment they are on lava once again.

While holding a Warped Fungus or a Warped Fungus on a Stick, Striders will follow players around wherever they go so long as they can reach the player.
Given that players take damage on lava blocks, using Warped Fungi serves as a good lure for Striders to get them to blocks safe for the player.
