Acquired Taste Side Quest Walkthrough

How to Complete

	Objectives
1	Talk to Brin Head to Brin's house and talk to him to start the quest. You can find his place west from the Free Heap settlement.
2	Collect Sawtooth Blood Brin asks you to kill a Sawtooth and collect its blood. You will encounter two Watchers along with a Sawtooth. Return to Brin after obtaining the Sawtooth blood and he will give you another request.
3	Collect Corruptor Blood Next on the list is Corruptor Blood. You can find it to the East of Brin's place. There will be Scrappers and Glinthawks in this encounter as well. Defeat them first before collecting the blood to avoid dying. Go back to Brin and let him have a taste of the Corruptor Blood. He will tell you what blood he wants next.
4	Collect Stalker Blood Go South near the Meridian Village and go to the Stalkers site. There are two of them, but you only need to kill one to get the blood. Head back to Brin and give him the Stalker Blood. Look for the next target after he drinks the blood.
5	Collect Thunderjaw Blood Go to the Thunderjaw site east from Brin's house. Kill one of the Thunderjaws and collect the blood. Once again, go back to Brin and deliver the blood to him. You will then receive the last target he wants.
6	Collect Stormbird Blood The last blood on the list is from a Stormbird. Hunt one down north of the Pitchcliff settlement. Its area is a bit buggy, so make sure to save before heading there.
	Give the Stormbird Blood to Brin Return to Brin for the last time and give him the blood. He will tell you about the storm coming in from the Forbidden West, and that will be the end of the quest.

Tips and Strategies

Killing a Sawtooth

You can kill the Sawtooth fast by lighting up its Blaze Canister and preparing traps before starting to fight it. Make sure you also get the Watchers first or there will be less breathing room for you!

Killing a Stalker

Stalkers have the ability to go stealth. You should prioritize removing it first to see where his attacks will come from. It will also be easier for you to attack them back if you can see them. A good hit with a Tearblast Arrow can remove their stealth instantly.

Killing a Thunderjaw

The recommended strategy for this fight is to Override one of the two Thunderjaws in the area and have it fight the other. You will need to finish the ZETA Cauldron first to override a Thunderjaw.

If you don't have access to the ZETA overrides and want to fight them head on, you can target components on a Thunderjaw's body to deal extra damage.

You can remove a Thunderjaw's Disc Launchers located on either side of their body by using Tearblast Arrows. Once removed, you can fire the Disc Launcher to deal even more damage. Tie down the Thunderjaw with a Ropecaster once the Disc Launchers are removed to have a clean shot at the Thunderjaw's weak points.

You can also disable many of a Thunderjaw's attacks by removing other components off its body using Tearblast Arrows.

Killing a Stormbird

Killing a Stormbird will be a lot easier if you have a Ropecaster on you. Pin it to the ground by placing multiple ropes on its body using the Ropecaster, and use that chance to deal damage to it.

Prioritize hitting the two Blaze Canisters on its back with Fire Arrows to give it a hell of damage once you stop its movements. Just make sure you move a bit far, or you'll get caught up in the explosion. You can also hit the Freeze Canister on its neck with Freeze Arrow to stop its movements for a bit and give yourself more chances of attacking it freely.

Note: There will be times that the Stormbird will disappear while you fight it. The only solution for this is to restart from your last save and try to kill it again.
