| 1 | Talk to Balahn Start the Errand by talking to Balahn, who is located at Daytower. |
|
| 2 |  Investigate the Forsaken Village Proceed to the first marked location on your map and use your Focus to investigate and examine one the Carja corpse. |
|
| 3 |  Follow the Tracks After examining the Carja corpse, follow the tracks to proceed to your next objective. |
|
| 4 |  Investigate the Helmet Along the trail, you will find a Carja helmet. Examine it to find a new set of tracks. |
|
| 5 |  Examine the Bloodstains Once you reach the edge of a lake, you will see bloodstains. Examine them to follow a new trail. |
|
| 6 |  Find Lakhir on the Island After swimming towards the island, you will meet Lakhir. Proceed upwards to reach the top of the rock to find him laying down. |
|
| 7 |  Kill the Snapmaw After talking to Lakhir, he'll ask you to retrieve his bow by taking down a Snapmaw. | |
| 8 |  Return to Lakhir After retrieving the Carja Bow, return to Lakhir to complete the Errand. |
The Snapmaw is an enemy machine that can swim, making it very dangerous to explore the island. Use Fire Arrows to wear it down and target the Canisters near its head to deal extra damage.
