Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Talk to Burgrend Go to Song's Edge and talk to Burgrend near a mechant to start the quest. He will tell you about the three hunters and ask for your help. |
2 | Find the Three Werak Hunters Go northeast from Song's Edge to see the three Werak Hunters. Talk to them and start the hunt. |
Kill the Machines There are 2 Control Towers, 2 Daemonic Longlegs, and 1 Scorcher on the first hunting area. Talk to Tatai after killing them to get to the next hunting area. |
|
3 | Go to the next Hunting Area Head farther north to get to the next hunting area. Talk to the hunters again and begin the hunt. |
Kill the Machines You will encounter a Control Tower, Daemonic Stalkers, Redeye Watchers, and Daemonic Scrappers. Kill these machines, talk to Urkai, and wait for them in the last hunting area. |
|
4 | Head to the final Hunting Area Head west to get to the last hunting area. Wait by the campfire and then commence the final hunt once the three hunters get there. |
Kill the Machines There are tons of machines in this hunting area. You will have to fight several Daemonic Longlegs, Daemonic Snapmaws, Daemonic Scrappers, and Control Towers. Talk to the three hunters once more and say your goodbyes to them. |
|
5 | Return to Burgrend Finish the quest by returning to Song's Edge and talking to Burgrend. |
The Control Towers will disable your overridden machine, give shock resistance to the enemy machines, and provide repairs on them. Take them out first by overriding them or destroying the Cooling Element component.
Fight the machines and use the three hunters as baits so you can disable the Control Towers without getting interrupted. You don't have to worry about them getting killed as they won't die, and they are even strong enough to kill a Daemonic Longleg on their own.
After dealing with the Control Towers, help the hunters with the other machines to take them out. Target the Daemonic Longlegs' Power Cell with a Shock Arrow to cause a shock explosion that will stun them for a while. You can also destroy their Concussion Sac to deal Tearing damage against them.
You can remove the Mine Launcher from the Scorcher and use it against the machines. Use Tearblaster or Tearblast Arrows to pull out the Mine Launcher on its back. Fire up the Blaze Canister and destroy the Power Generator as well to inflict enormous damage on it.
Use the same strategy and use the hunters to distract the machines while you override the Control Tower. You can use the bushes around to sneak close to the Control Tower.
The hunters can handle the Daemonic Scrappers and Redeye Watchers, so focus on the Daemonic Stalkers instead as they are more agile and more dangerous machines.
Destroy their Stealth Generator and all their gun components to make it easier for you to kill them. Use Tearblaster or Tearblast Arrows to remove them in one shot.
The final hunting area is the hardest part of this quest. You will encounter tons of machines, and there will not be enough room to move around, as there are only patches of ice to stand on surrounded by water.
You can go around to avoid getting spotted and attacked, or you can go ahead and start the fight and leave them to the hunters while you get to the Control Towers.
Take out the Daemonic Snapmaws first, as they are more of a threat than the Daemonic Scrappers and Daemonic Longlegs in the area after disabling the Control Towers. You can remove the armor on the Blaze Canisters so you can set them on fire and deal burning damage on them. You can also hit the Freeze Sac to remove their ability to shoot projectiles and cause a freezing explosion.
You can then start killing the Daemonic Longlegs after defeating the Daemonic Snapmaws if they are still alive. Attack the Concussion Sac on their chest to deal Tear damage and shoot the Power Cell on their back with Shock Arrows to paralyze them.
