List of Corrupted Zones
Corrupted Zones are a type of activity in the game Horizon Zero Dawn. Read on to learn more about the locations of each Corrupted Zone as well as the types of enemies you'll encounter in each Corrupted Zone.
What are Corrupted Zones?
Corrupted Zones are areas where an unknown Corruption has influenced the machines to be more violent and dangerous. These areas are marked with a red circle on your map, while in-game you will see the ground having the same corruption as the machines.
How to Clear Corrupted Zones
Clearing a Corrupted Zone is fairly straightforward: Eliminate all Corrupted Machines in the zone. Once you clear a Corrupted Zone it will disappear from your map. The general strategy is to set Corrupted Machines on fire and then do as much damage as you can with your arrows.

While the Banuk Sickness Eater variants are not flashy nor protective against other elements, its value is seen when pitted against Corrupted Machines. We recommend the Heavy variant of the Banuk Sickness Eater because it already grants you a base Corruption resistance of 50. Pair it with Melee Resist or more Corruption Resist weaves and you're all set.
It is also recommended that you get a higher tier Hunter Bow to have access to both Fire Arrows and Hardpoint Arrows as these arrows will deal the most damage against Corrupted Machines. Of course, to be on the safe side, it's good to have Antidotes to spare.
