Banuk Culling Bow |
Carja Mighty Bow |
Main Embrace Gate Merchant
To get the weapons and outfits, you'll need to reach a point during the Main Quest A Seeker at the Gates where you'll leave the Embrace. Once you reach the Main Embrace Gate, you'll spot a merchant standing nearby. You can claim these items from them immediately.
You will be given three free Supply Packs that contain various resources to help give you a boost in the early game. These packs are the Carja Trader Pack, Banuk Traveller Pack, and the Nora Keeper Pack.
These can be obtained immediately upon reaching the first merchant in the game. Simply head to the Treasure Boxes tab of the Buy menu and they will appear there.
Bluegleam is a new form of currency found only in The Cut. It is a rare crystal that's obtained in various locations and bodies of machines across the region. There are 100 Bluegleam to be found, and they are used to buy unique equipment and treasure boxes from merchants in the region. If you need help finding them, you can purchase a map that displays their exact locations.
Animal Figurines are a new collectible found only in The Cut. You can begin questing to find them once you meet the shaman Enjuk in Hollow Hall. There are six that can be obtained, and a reward is given by Enjuk upon finding all six. You can also purchase a map from Bluegleam Merchants that displays their locations.
Similar to Animal Figurines, Pigments are a new collectible found only in The Cut. They are sought after by Sekuli, who is located at Song's Edge. There are nine total pigments divided into three sets - Salt, Crystal, and Oxide.
Each set contains three varying shades of the pigment type, and once a set is completed, you can give them to Sekuli for a reward. You can also purchase a map from Bluegleam Merchants that displays their locations
Horizon Zero Dawn had one expansion pack after its release - The Frozen Wilds. If you purchased the Complete Edition, this will come installed with the base game.
This expansion gives you access to The Cut, a new region to explore that contains several unique enemies and equipment.
The Frozen Wilds Quest Start Location
You can start this questline once you've left the Embrace during the A Seeker at the Gates Main Quest. However, it's recommended that you reach at least level 30 first due to the difficulty level of enemies here.
A New Quest marker will appear in The Grave Hoard area found in the northeast portion of the world. After heading there and talking to an NPC, you'll be able to freely enter The Cut.
