You can get this quest in the Song's Edge Camp after finishing the Into the Frozen Wilds quest. Find Laulai and talk to her to start it.
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Talk to Laulai Go to the Song's Edge Camp and talk to Laulai there. She will give you a quest to stop the flooding. |
2 | Go to the Lake and Follow the River Upstream Go to the lake and follow the river upstream to find the source of the flooding. |
4 | Enter Greycatch You will see a campfire by the river. Enter into Greycatch from there through the gap in the wall. |
5 | Climb up to the Control Room Get to the Control Room by climbing up. There is only one way to the Control Room, so you will not get lost on your way there. |
Examine the Control Room Use your Focus to scan your surroundings in the Control Room. Examine the Schematics and then head to where Gildun is. |
|
6 | Go to Gildun Pry open the door on the left side of the Control Room and open the door leading to Gildun. Talk to him after that and close the Sluice Gates with him. |
7 | Close the First Sluice Gate Go to the other side to close and lock the first Sluice Gate. You can get there by going through the path above and entering the destroyed turbine. |
Block the First Sluice Gate Close and lock the first gate once you get to the other side and let Gildun cross towards you using it. Follow him to get to the next gate. |
|
8 | Close the Second Sluice Gate Bring the ladder down for Gildun by going around and climbing up on a different path. Go up once more after helping Gildun get up the ladder and go to the valve. |
Go on the Counterweight The counterweight you will use is a bit busted. Follow the marker and go up again and drop down on it. Take note that you should rappel down and not jump down directly, or you will die from the fall. |
|
Block the Second Sluice Gate Leave the counterweight and immediately close the valve to stop the water from flowing. |
|
9 | Kill the Daemonic Snapmaw The Emitter you need seems like it was devoured by a Daemonic Snapmaw. Kill it and loot the Emitter from its body. |
10 | Go back to the Control Room Head back to the Control Room to unlock the door to the storage room. Follow the marker to get there. |
Redirect the Pipes A door leading to the Control Room won't open. You can open it by redirecting the flow of the water using the pipes. Use your Focus to see where the water needs to flow. Note: Follow the image above to solve the puzzle faster. |
|
11 | Set the Emitter Put the Emitter back in its place to activate the door. However, you will have to rearrange the Emitters to open the door. |
Unlock the Storage Room Follow the pattern on this image to unlock the door to the storage room and get the Power Cell. |
|
12 | Get the Power Cell and Talk to Gildun You can get the Power Cell first further in the room, or you can start talking to Gildun before getting it. He will tell you that the artifact he saw might've been just a trick of the light as it is not there. |
Replace the Power Cell Place the new power cell to restore the drainage system. Talk to Gildun once more and then go to the Overflow Basin to check things out outside. |
|
13 | Enter the Overflow Basin There are two Daemonic Snapmaws near the Overflow Basin. You can choose to fight them or just sneak in by gong across the rope near the campfire towards the tree. |
Talk to Laulai Find the source of the sound and you will see Laulai hitting the pipes. Talk to her to end the quest and get your rewards. |
Daemonic Snapmaws are stronger versions of Snapmaws, but their weaknesses are still the same. Destroy the Blaze Canisters above its neck to cause a large fire explosion and put the Daemonic Snapmaws in a burning state.
You can also destroy the Freeze Sac below their neck to cause a freezing explosion and freeze them. All attacks against frozen machines will deal more damage, allowing you to take them out more efficiently.
