Flashpoint Choices: Do Choices Affect the Story?

Flashpoint Choices
This is a guide to Flashpoint Choices in Horizon Zero Dawn. Read on to learn how the system works and if your choices affect the story, along with a list of major choices in the game.

Do Choices Affect the Story?

While the Flashpoint Choice system will affect how certain dialogue scenarios play out, as well as the outcomes of specific quests, the consequences are tied to those situations and do not affect the larger story at hand. The main story will play out the same way regardless of the choices you make.

You also won't miss out on any trophies as none are dependent on the choices you make.

Flashpoint Choice System

Flashpoint Choices
Flashpoint Choices are a mechanic in Horizon Zero Dawn that lets you choose from three dialogue reactions during certain moments in a quest. These three are Heart, Brain, and Fist. Choosing Heart will make Aloy make compassionate and sympathetic, Brain will make her use her intelligence to solve an issue, and Fist will make her confront the issue directly.

While these choices do not affect the game's main story, they allow you to tailor Aloy's personality to the kind of character you'd prefer.
