This is a guide to overriding machines in Horizon Zero Dawn. Read on to find out how to override machines, what types of machines you can override, and how to unlock them.

| 1 |  Reach a machine's override spot. The Hold to Override prompt will appear when you do so. This can be done by sneaking up on a machine or rooting it in place. |

Each machine belongs to one of six classes for overriding - PSI, SIGMA, RHO, XI, ZETA, EPSILON. Aside from PSI, each class is unlocked for overriding by completing their respective Cauldrons. These are underground factories swarming with machines and puzzles that you'll have to clear.
The PSI Override is unlocked by completing the quest The Womb of the Mountain. After defeating the Corrupter here, you'll unlock the Override ability. This allows you to override Tallnecks, Watchers, Striders, Broadheads, and Chargers.
