Mother's Heart Walkthrough

Right after the events of The Point of the Spear, Rost automatically speaks to Aloy in front of the Northern Embrace Gate Campfire and starts this quest.

How to Complete

	Objectives
1	Talk to Rost. Head over to Mother's Heart to the north. Rost will be waiting just before the bridge leading up to the village.
2	Enter Mother's Heart. Head up the bridge and approach the gates to Mother's Heart. Once there, a cutscene will play out.
3	Talk to Your Old Friend. Teersa tells you to meet up with an Old Friend. Follow the waypoint through the village to reach Teb.
4	Talk to Teb and Trade for the Nora Brave Outfit. Turns out Teb is giving you the Nora Brave Outfit for free. Trade for it and equip it.
5	Go to the Matriarch's Lodge. Now, head over to the Matriarch's Lodge and listen to speech being given out by the Carja envoys.
6	Scan with your Focus to see what it detected. Press R3 and scan for the unknown device within the crowd.
7	Talk to the Man Wearing a Focus. Talk to Olin and ask about his Focus.
8	Go to the Blessing Ceremony and talk to Teersa. After talking to Olin and the Carja, head on down to the Blessing Ceremony. Teersa will direct you to a lantern of your own as the ceremony begins.
8.5	Talk to Olin (Optional). Talk to Olin again. He can be found standing apart from the crowd under the shade of a tree. To get an inkling about what is to come, press him for answers.
9	Enter the Hunters' Lodge. Run down to the Hunter's Lodge and prepare to turn in for the night. The next day is the Proving day.
10	Confront Barst. Barst is throwing insults. Confront him using any of the provided dialogue choices (no effect on future events).
10.5	Talk to Vala (Optional). Interact with your fellow Proving mates, Vala.
11	Go to Bed. Vala will talk to you before turning in. Choose any of the dialogue choices before sleeping.

Tips and Strategies

Purchase a Better Outfit

Pre-Mother's Heart Karst will not have any outfits in stock. It is only during this mission that players are finally able to get their hands on one (aside from the free Nora Brave Outfit).

If looking for a quick upgrade or armor with more modification slots, both Karst and Teb will be selling some during this short quest.

Explore Mother's Heart for Loot

Mother's Heart will have supply boxes scattered around its small map. Explore the celebration grounds and loot what you can. Extra supplies will help during the Proving.

Claim the Free Sampler Box from Teb

After this quest, Teb will no longer be an interactable Merchant. Claim the Free Sample Box under the Lootboxes category of his Buy Inventory before the mission ends.
