Revenge of the Nora Walkthrough

How to Complete

	Objectives
1	Go to Red Echoes. After the events of The War Chief's Trail, you will be told to go to the Red Echoes in order to strike back at the killers from the Proving. This new area can be found to the east of the world map.
2	Rest at the Campfire. Quick Save at the Campfire to start the cutscene where Varl and Sona speak to you.
3	Clear 3 Enemy Camps. With the help of the Nora Braves, clear out the 3 enemy camps marked on your map. Like in the previous quest, the option for full stealth or full combat is there. Choose how you want to approach each of the camps.
4	Go to the Tallest Tower and Talk to Sona. With the camps cleared, head over to the Tallest Tower in the area. Sona and Varl will be waiting for you at the foot of the ruined building.
5	Follow Varl and Enter Metal Ring. Varl willl accompany you during this stealth portion of the quest. Follow him up into the Metal Ring to scope out your enemies.
6	Search the Metal Ring for a View of the Blaze. Listen to Varl's instructions and take down the cultists together. Soon you will get a view of the Blaze canisters you have to ignite in order to breach the walls of the Metal Ring.
7	Sneak Over to the Blaze and Ignite it. Sneak into the compound, staying within Tall Grass to avoid detection. Follow the quest markers as they give you the shortest and easiest way to the Blaze. Once in sight, shoot the barrels with Fire Arrows to allow the Nora through the gap.
8	Kill the Cultists and Machines. With the help of your fellow tribesmen, destroy the Corrupted Machines and kill the cultists. The large Fire Bellowback will be weak to Freeze and its Blaze sacs can be made to explode by shooting it full of arrows.
8.5	Speak to Sylens (Situational). If you have finished the mission The Grave-Hoard, Sylens will contact you right after you kill the last cultist and give you the quest To Curse the Darkness.

Tips and Strategies

Engage Camps in Open Combat

Due to the unusual terrain and rubble pathing in Devil's Grief, it will be a bit hard to approach some camps stealthily. However, just like in the previous Nora tribe mission, you will have Nora Braves as backup.

Engage enemy camps in open combat since it is easier with multiple allies helping out. However, when playing on higher difficulties, it is advised that players take the stealth route.

Wait for Varl to Get into Position

During the stealth portion inside the Metal Ring, Varl will signal which cultist you should take down as you make your way through the area. He will do this multiple times throughout this part of the quest.

Remember to wait for Varl to get into position before killing your target. If you do not, Varl's target will be alerted, dragging you into unwanted combat.

Follow the Trench to the Blaze

Getting within shooting distance of the Blaze Barrels will be easy. Begin by Silent Striking the cultist near the bushes you first spawn in. Then, when the Bellowback isn't looking, head for the trench in front of you.

Once safely inside, simply follow the quest markers through the trench and into more Tall Grass. Eventually, you will see the Blaze storage ready to be sabotaged.

Use Freeze on the Fire Bellowback

Use Freeze damage from a Sling or War Bow to prevent the Fire Bellowback from moving around too much. This will bog it down and give you enough chances to shoot the Blaze sacs located on its back and chest.

Shoot the Bellowback's Blaze Sacs

The large liquid container on the back of the Bellowback will contain Blaze. Shoot it with arrows to deal massive damage. Do enough and the sac will explode, setting the Machine and its surroundings on fire.

The chest area will also have Blaze sacs, and shooting them with arrows will also cause it to explode.
