Description | Aloy undertakes a dangerous mission to inflitrate a secret Eclipse base and crash the cult's Focus network. |
Objectives | |
---|---|
1 | Hunt down the Proving Killers. This step only appears if players have not yet completed the Revenge of the Nora quest. |
2 | Go to the Campfire and speak to Sylens. Again, this step only appears if players have not yet completed the Revenge of the Nora quest. |
3 | Go to the Location that Sylens indicated. The location is to the direct west of Meridian. However, it will be on top a very large cliff face. Climb up to the Evening's Sign Gate to get to the indicated location. |
4 | Climb the Escarpment. Climb up using the handholds and rest at the Campfire by Quick Saving. This triggers a cutscene between Aloy and Sylens. |
5 | Infiltrate the Eclipse Base (First Clearing). The first clearing on the way to the Eclipse Base is guarded by Corrupted Watchers and Corrupted Longlegs. Players have the option to go full stealth or full combat as fighting will not fail the mission. |
6 | Infiltrate the Eclipse Base (Second Clearing). The second clearing is guarded by multiple Corrupted Scrappers. However, unlike the previous area, this clearing is easily navigated using Tall Grass mechanics and Silent Strikes. |
7 | Infiltrate the Eclipse Base (Human Camp). The final camp you'll be clearing is patrolled by humans. The option to go full stealth or full combat is there, especially since there are fewer places to hide in the cramped area. |
8 | Push the Tree Over. Inside the tent where the Elite Human Enemy was is a tree listing to its side. Push it over to make a path deeper into the Eclipse Base. |
9 | Crash the Eclipse Focus Network. The Eclipse are using a captured Tallneck to maintain their network. Climb it by taking the path to your right (at the foot of the immobilized Tallneck). |
10 | Escape the Eclipse Base!. The base is alerted to Aloy's presence. Avoid combat and parkour your way back to the Human Camp. Rappel down the bridge overlooking the waterfall to complete the quest. |
While the option to go full stealth is there, it involves making a lot moves that rely on very tight timing windows. Due to the patrol pattern of the Longlegs, detection will sometimes be instantaneous.
If you find yourself continuously getting detected, consider fighting all the machines instead as being discovered will not affect the outcome of the mission in any way.
The second clearing will be filled with Scrappers. However, unlike the first area, this one has ample Tall Grass spots for players to hide and weave through.
Tag all the patrolling Scrappers to see their positions as you sneak your way to the Human Camp. To be safe, use Lure Call and Silent Strike to deal with machines you cannot evade.
The final act of this quest will have Aloy running frantically back to the human camp. During your first pass, take note of where the rappel area is (on the bridge above the waterfall) as this will be your exit strategy later.
When escaping the Eclipse Base after being discovered by Hades, do not shoot back or stop to kill enemies. This will only get you killed.
Keep running, following the marked path all the way back to the human camp. Rappel down the waterfall to successfully complete this mission. If done correctly, Aloy will not take damage during the escape sequence.
