S-Tier Outfits

The Shield Weaver is hands down the best outfit in the game because of its shield generation ability, allowing Aloy to take one full health bar of damage before beginning to deplete her actual HP bar. The shield effect also regenerates over time. The Banuk Werak Chieftain would be a close second because of its health regeneration ability.

The Carja Silks Heavy despite not having any base effects, provides maximum customizability. The Master Variants give the highest base resistance earning them their S-Tier classification.

Excluding the DLC Master Variants, A-Tier outfits grant the highest base resistances for the base game. These outfits are best paired with weaves that improve other resistances because their base resistances are already high.

B-Tier outfits offer good protection against small to medium-sized enemies. We still recommend upgrading to better outfits to provide more protection especially against larger, more dangerous enemies.
