This article provides information on the location of the ranch, also known as the depository, in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (DQM3). Find out whether you can gain experience points at the Ranch, the maximum number of slots, and what to do when it reaches full capacity.
List of Contents
Monsters kept at the Ranch also gain experience points from battles. Although it's only a quarter of the experience points the party receives, you may find your monsters at a higher level by the time you realize it.

The monster depository is located inside the ranch, accessible through the travel door. You can warp to the ranch not only using travel doors at various locations but also using the ruler by selecting it.

You can use the Monster Storage Center by talking to Zack at the ranch. When you scout monsters, the overflowing allies will be automatically sent to the depository. If you want to them to rejoin your party, form them from the depository.

The storage room is available at the ranch, and you can also use it by talking to Zack on the right side of the compounding office on the first basement floor of Rosehill Tower. This can be used simultaneously with synthesis.

At the depository, you can mainly manage your fellow monsters. You can swap party members and monsters in storage or release monsters. If you want to manage your monsters, first visit the basement at Rosehill Tower or the ranch and speak to Zack.
How to Release Monsters and Rewards

When you release monsters, you can randomly obtain Taneyaki equal to the number of monsters you released. If you only want Taneyaki, one way is to release unnecessary monsters to collect them.

At the depository, you can change the name of the monster you have recruited. Companion monsters cannot be changed from the menu screen and cannot be changed unless you go to the depository.
To change the names of your monsters, head to the depository and open the menu. Then, press the X button to open the monster menu and select the change name option.

If you have purchased the additional DLC Mog Dungeon of Memories,
Owner Mogdon
will appear in the hut on the farm, and you can enter Mog Dungeon of Memories by talking to him. The Mog Dungeon of Memories is a highly recommended DLC as it allows you to scout monsters that you have once befriended again.

If you have purchased the additional DLC Time Infinity Box,
it will be installed in front of the farm hut. The Infinite Box of Time will give you valuable items, making it easier to progress through the game.

If you have purchased the additional DLC Shrimp Master's Training Labyrinth,
Shrimp Master
will appear on the left side of the farm hut, and you can take on the challenge of Shrimp Master's Training Labyrinth by talking to him. Ebi Sensei's Training Labyrinth is a DLC for those who want more replay elements as it is a highly difficult challenge content.
You can have up to 1,000 monsters in your party, standby, and custody. To get new monsters when your roster is full, you need to release other monsters.
