Beginner's Trial is a new game mode released in July 2025. It is meant to be a way for new players to learn the game's ins and outs, acquire new units and resources, and catch up with the game's veterans all at the same time.
Beginner's Trial is available only for accounts made in July 2025 or after. There is no way for older accounts to access this game mode.
This game mode is free of any AP charges until Player Rank 160. Afterwards, players will have to spend AP in order to do their featured battles.

There are two types of missions in this mode.
The first are the Trials, which are battles with preset units that aim to teach you lessons about how the game works. Each of these trials covers specific parts of the game, ranging from combat to team building to even unit upgrades.
Given that the units you use in these trials are not yours, there is very little chance of failure. Each trial will explain a certain mechanic or feature right before you start the battle, so absorb the information you're learning and apply it in battle.
These stages reward players with valuable things such as useful new units, dedicated Custom Tickets for the unit rewards, and heaps of Unit Enhancement Pts.

Next are the Practice stages, which are where you get to apply the knowledge you've learned in the trials with your own units.
Because you'll be the one in charge of setting lineups, failure is a lot more common here. It shouldn't be too difficult, however, so if you find yourself repeatedly losing to a certain stage, it means you're doing something wrong, as this content's difficulty is balanced to be clearable even by beginners.
Each of these practice stages rewards you with 4,000 Player EXP, EXP leveling materials, 50 UR Custom Tickets, Coins, and Skip Tickets each time you complete it. These stages will be the key to you reaching Player Rank 161 in no time, which we'll explain in the following section below.

While the rewards of the missions or objectives of each practice stage might not seem too valuable, clearing these missions is also tied to the Beginner's Trial Achievement Rewards. These Achievement Rewards grant very useful prizes such as Unit Enhancement Pts., Body and Weapon Chips, and Rainbow Haro Coins, so make sure you clear them all.

The Practice stages in Beginner's Trial cost no AP to play, and there's no limit to how many times you do it per day. You could just use as many Skip Tickets as you want to get Player EXP and loads of UR Custom tickets for free.
Given how much Player EXP these practice stages give, you'll level up extremely fast if you keep skipping these with tickets. You could do the same with the Mobile Suit Alteration Plan, but you earn more rewards and way more EXP per ticket from Beginner's Trial Practice stages anyway, so opt to skip those battles instead.

Remember that new players below Player Rank 30 can play the Main Quest for free. You will want to try and 3-star as many Main Quest missions while they're still free, so you don't have to come back to them in the future and spend your AP.
That said, you should pause your Beginner's Trial grind when you're 40 ranks below the maximum player rank to do Main Quest missions. You will want to allot a few player ranks for your Main Quest grind in order to not go over the limit and have to spend AP on the Main Quest.

The notable units that you'll earn in this game mode are the Hyaku Shiki, Gundam + G-Fighter, and Gundam Ez8.
Hyaku Shiki inflicts Unavoidable on all enemies, forcing them to take damage regardless of evasion/Absolute Evade. Gundam + G-Fighter is a very well-rounded backline DPS unit. Ez8, on the other hand, is a support that increases the entire team's crit rate and critical ATK.
All of the UR-rarity mobile suits that you earn here have enough dedicated Custom Tickets to get them to Custom Lv. 15.

Completing the Beginner's Trial all the way through and getting all of these Achievement Rewards is important, as the Rainbow Haro Coins awarded at the end of these Achievement missions can get a mobile suit all the way to Transcendent Lv. 5.
Make sure you complete this even if you overdid your leveling and you have to use AP to do the Beginner's Trial.
