How to Transcend Units for Free
Pull Multiple Copies of Featured Banner Unit
There's only one way to Transcend your mobile suits without spending any Rainbow Haro Coins, and that's if you pull multiple copies of featured mobile suits from any kind of Limited MS Assembly Banner and perform Potential Unleashed on them while their dedicated banner is still active.
The number of Transcendent Levels you could get on the featured unit for free depends entirely on how many Potential Levels you have in them. For every Potential Level your featured unit has, you get a free Transcendent level too. That said, pulling for 6 copies (1 to acquire, 5 for Potential Unleashed) of a featured banner unit could get you all the way to Transcendent Lv. 5 for absolutely free for as long as the banner is still up, saving you 2,250 Rainbow Haro Coins in the process.
To claim these free Transcendent Levels, just Transcend as you normally would when you've already done Potential Unleashed and you wouldn't be charged for any Rainbow Haro Coins.
Do take note that simply having the extra copies does not make you eligible for free Transcendence, and you'll need to perform Potential Unleashed first.

Which Mobile Suits Should I Prioritize Transcending For Free?
Prioritize Mobile Suits That Suit Your Playstyle
This all depends on how reliant a mobile suit is on their EX skills, along with how good they are in the meta. You'll want to try and pull multiple copies of mobile suits whose kits or playstyle revolves around their EX skill. This is because Potential Unleashed directly influences the values tied to a unit's EX skills, be it the ATK% multiplier, buff potency, status effect duration, and the like. In most cases, you should only be pulling for multiple copies of a unit with Potential Unleashed in mind. In cases like these, treat the free Transcendent Levels as a bonus.
Sometimes, if a unit that's extremely powerful in the meta is released, and you might want that said MS at Potential Lv. 5 for improved EX skills, inflated stats, and for 5 free Transcendent Levels. These mobile suits tend to be relevant for long periods of time, so investing heavily into them should be your highest priority. Examples of these top-tier picks at the time of their release and for several months after include the Yellow Sazabi, Zeong, and Purple-O.
That being said, you shouldn't be pulling 6 copies of every banner unit you're interested in just for the free Transcendence, since Rainbow Haro Coins eventually become rather abundant once you've set up your Rainbow Haro Coins and have been grinding through events that reward the said resource. Diamonds for pulling, on the other hand, might seem easy to accumulate in the early game when you're grinding through the Main Quest, but those become quite hard to come by once you've finished all those Main Quest missions, extra stories, and the Amuro and Char mode.
