Use Top-Tier DPS Units

Cooperative Battles feature some of the longest battles in the game, so using mobile suits that can deal huge amounts of damage over an extended period is often the best offensive strategy.

As of writing, the two best DPS mobile suits for Cooperative Battles are the Unicorn Gundam HML and the Zeta Gundam (IF Claw and IF Blaster).

Both of these units are equipped with very potent EX Skills, and they can repeatedly spam their EX Skills at a fast rate. What makes them so great at dealing damage is how Grade II mobile suits get PvE exclusive buffs to EX skill damage that really takes things to the next level.

Unicorn HML

These two units will outdamage any other mobile suit in the game, unless newer and more powerful mobile suits are eventually released into the game. That being said, when choosing mobile suits to assist players as Support Formation units, their best move would be to pick one of these two MSs.

Even underlevelled players can solo Cooperative Battle III stages on their own for as long as they have a steady supply of these powerhouses to borrow, though the battles will take a little bit longer than usual without the optimal supporting cast.

Use Debuffers To Amplify Damage

Awakened Magna Martell and Sniper Zeong are two of the best single-target debuffers in the game since they both increase the damage an MS takes from all sources. Use these mobile suits interchangeably or together.

Char's Z'Gok, on the other hand, is an exceptional debuffer against Gundam-Type mobile suits, which is a classification that most Cooperative Battle bosses fall under. Do not use this MS against non-Gundam-Type bosses.

These debuffers will further enhance the firepower of their entire team and will further improve the DPS carries' damage numbers.

Round Out Team With Meta Grade II Units

Now that players have their core DPS units and supports, they must round out their team with whatever powerful Grade II units they have. These include, but are not limited to, the examples provided above.

Healers and tanks are optional in Cooperative Battle III, and should only be used when a player is underlevelled and has trouble keeping their key units alive.

Cooperative Quest III (Blue) Tips

Underwater Battle

Coop Quest III Blue

Coop III Blue is held in an Underwater map, which means that plenty of mobile suits will perform worse than they normally do due to a terrain disadvantage. Players will want to use mobile suits that thrive Underwater, or at least have a △ rating for the map in question. Mobile suits with the ✖ terrain disadvantage for Underwater maps can still be used, but know that they will be fighting at a handicap.

Another thing that separates this from the rest of the Coop Battles is how the boss is accompanied by 5 Aqua GMs, so they will not be alone this time around.

Lastly, players will need to deal 220 million HP worth of damage to beat the Coop Quest III boss, which is significantly lower than the other Coop III bosses that boast huge HP pools worth billions.

To easily beat this stage, just follow our Cooperative Battle III Team Building Guide for the best results.

Cooperative Quest III (Red) Tips

Massive HP Pool and Strong Damage

Coop III Red

The Red stage of Cooperative Battle III is one of the Coop III's most difficult stages. It requires patience and the willingness to re-enter the battle multiple times in order to get those powerful Augmentation Frame II modules.

This is because the stage's boss, the Penelope, has a massive HP pool of over 4.5 billion.

It's also not the typical Penelope, as some time between the 3rd and 4th minute of combat, it becomes much more powerful and enters an enhanced state where it can easily shred through entire teams within seconds.

Reentry Required

SOS Signal

Cooperative Battle III (Red) used to be one of the most difficult stages in the game when Grade II units were not yet in the game, and players did not have access to the ridiculously high DPS MSs we have today.

While it is no longer the near-impossible stage it once was, it is by no means a cakewalk. The boss Penelope's damage output when in its enhanced state is just too much for teams to handle, and even the best players in the world need at least a couple of attempts to clear on their own.

The recommended team we discussed early on in this guide should work very well against this boss, but players will need to be a little more patient than usual since their team will inevitably get wiped out and will have to reenter the battle.

Cooperative Quest III (Green) Tips

Boss Only Takes Melee and EX Skill Damage

Coop III Green

The Crossbone Gundam X3 raid boss in Cooperative Battle III (Green) is essentially immune to ranged attacks, and is only vulnerable to melee attacks and EX skills.

Luckily, today's meta revolves around extremely powerful EX skill spammers. That being said, following our Cooperative Battle III Team Building Guide should make quick work of this stage since the recommended team is headed by two powerful EX spammers.

Cooperative Quest III (Yellow) Tips

6v6 Space Battle

Coop III Yellow

The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam (FAUC) raid boss in Cooperative Battle III (Yellow) boasts a 2.5 billion HP pool and nothing else really.

Like Cooperative Battle III (Blue), this stage is another one of those battles where the boss is accompanied by a bunch of grunt units. Unlike Coop III Blue, however, the battle takes place in Space and not Underwater.

The sample team from the Cooperative Battle III Team Building Guide should make quick work of this stage. Using Char's Z'Gok or Sniper Zeong will draw aggro towards the FAUC and force it to take increased damage, while ignoring the grunt units accompanying the boss. This works in the player's favor since these grunt units do not deal too much damage and will only speed up their units' EX gauge recovery.
