Best PvE Team Comps Explained

Standard PvE Team

The best team you could cobble up involve using powerhouse units that are among the best in their class. On this team, we've got the best tank, the best healer, the best defensive support, the best debuffer, and the best DPS units in the game. You've got great damage from pretty much all these units except the Gyan, an extremely formidable defense thanks to the Gyan and The-O, and the ability to steamroll through any teams that don't have an answer for Perfect Guard or Absolute Evade.

Should you lack any of these units, or should you have a need for specific units to counter, feel free to use this as a sort of template and substitute the mobile suits you don't have or you think you might not need with more applicable units.

Should you need a guide on whether or not a mobile suit is worth using on your team, check out our PvE Mobile Suit Tier List and see where your unit ranks.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - The-O (Purple) Icon[M0381] The-O • The game's strongest mobile suit at the time of writing, The-O is a defensive juggernaut with near-impenetrable defenses. It brushes off attacks like it's nothing thanks to high amounts of guard rate, perfect guard, and 999% resistances in the early part of the battle. Only a very small amount of mobile suits can take out The-O, as it requires Unguardable, Assault+Crit, or strong EX skills to bypass its tough defenses.
• It is also great offensively thanks to its spammable Lethal EX skill, which calls down a barrage of beams from the Dogosse Giar. Having a powerful Purple-O alone should get you past most of the game's content.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gyan Icon[M0317] Gyan • One of the best defensive unit in the game not because of its stats or defense, but because it draws enemy aggro towards its allied Armored units. This buys its allied DPS units time to do their thing and deal damage without fear of retaliation.
• In this case, the Gyan will draw aggro towards the Purple-O, allowing it to scale quickly off of those buffs that it gets from guarding attacks.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Victory 2 Assault Gundam Icon[M0377] Victory 2 Assault Gundam • The V2A is another mobile suit with incredible utility and respectable damage, the V2A heals the lowest HP unit, cuts the damage its entire team takes from EX skills, and grants itself Perfect Guard with its EX skill. It also benefits from ramping evasion and beam damage buffs, both maxing out at around the 25-second mark, which the V2A is very capable of reaching given its excellent defense.
• With Gyan and Purple-O on the team, the lowest HP unit and recipient of the heal will likely be the Purple-O, which will allow it to last even longer in combat.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sinanju (Generic) Icon[M0408] Sinanju • The Sinanju is an incredibly high damage self-sustaining crit-based unit with Bullseye. It's able to reach 100% crit rate without the Ez8, charges its EX skill on crit, and heals itself by 10,000 HP on crit.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Magna Martell (Awaken) Icon[M0296] Magna Martell (Awaken) • The Magna Martell (Awaken) has been a staple pick ever since its release. It is an all-around unit with a potent high firepower offense, great defense with Absolute Evade that stays active for the remainder of the match once activated and a single-use heal, along with special event-only modules that synergize perfectly with this MS.
• Its single-target Damage Taken debuff are some of the most potent in the game, making it great for PvE stages with a single beefy priority target.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Geymalk Icon[M0350] Geymalk • The Geymalk is one of the best PvE DPS units in the game given how it is able to increase its damage output for the duration of the match each time it uses its EX skill. This allows it to consistently deal humongous amounts of damage with each and every attack it deals come the late game.
• With Purple-O and Gyan to pull aggro away, with V2A's healing, and the rest of the units being self-sustaining units, the Geymalk has more than enough protection to survive long enough and scale to become a DPS machine.

Highest HP Target PvE Stage Team

Here we have a similar team to the one above, but with a key difference: we've swapped out the Gyan for the GM (GR). In stages where the enemy stage targets your highest HP unit, the Gyan is not needed since The-O will automatically draw aggro by being the beefiest unit on your team, and the GM (GR) along with the V2A Gundam should help keep it that way.

We've also changed up the DPS units on here with other top-tier picks for variety, but if you don't have these, any top-tier DPS unit should be able to fill in their shoes without much issue.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - The-O (Purple) Icon[M0381] The-O • The-O will be your main defensive unit that should draw aggro as the highest HP unit on your team and will continue to do so by stay healthy thanks to its incredible defense, self-heals, and heals from its allies.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - GM (GR) Icon[M0291] GM (GR) • One of the best healers in the game despite being an R-rarity unit, the GM (GR) will join this team for one purpose and one alone: to keep its allies topped up. While its heal may not be as potent as the UR healers', it can repeatedly cast its EX skill quickly when its UE allocation has been set with maximum EX gauge recovery in mind.
• It is extremely easy to invest in thanks to R-rarity units being cheap to perform Unit Enhancement on, as well as requiring different resources that aren't hard to get at all.
• The V2A should be able to constantly heal back The-O, or any of its critically injured allies, back to a healthy state as needed.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Rozen Zulu Icon[M0437] Rozen Zulu • The Rozen Zulu is a powerful DPS unit with a pretty well-rounded kit featuring high crit rate, high damage, access to Bullseye via its EX skill, EX gauge restoration on crit, a total of 800,000 damage cap increase to its 2nd weapon, along with some max HP and damage resistance for defense.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Theta Plus (Sniper) Icon[M0458] Theta Plus • The Theta Plus (Sniper) is a mobile suit with access to the Assault status, along with having a Zeong-like AoE EX skill that deals bonus damage to Blue-type and Support category mobile suits.
• The Theta Plus comes equipped with your typical damage and accuracy buffs that backline damage threats typically come with. However, it also benefits from a 1.2M damage cap increase, which potentially allows for ridiculously high damage, should you invest in it and buff it up enough.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) Icon[M0434] Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) • An extremely high damage crit-based attacker, the PF NT-D prevents enemies from healing with its EX skill while enjoying increased critical rate against enemies with this debuff. It's especially useful against Psycho-Frame Type units, as it jams them for the first 18 seconds of combat, and benefits from increased critical ATK and accuracy against Jammed enemies. Critical strikes also heal this unit for a flat amount of HP, greatly boosting its survivability.
• Outside of its ability to jam Psycho-Frame Types, the PF NT-D cannot jam by itself. Should you need it to deal extra damage, replace one of the units on this team with a unit that inflicts Jamming to maximize its damage potential.

Blue-Type Immortals PvE Team

This is a team that abuses the powerful synergies among Blue-type units with the Methuss, the White Unicorn, FAZZ, and Crossbone Gundam X2, supplemented by the best defensive duo in the game, the Gyan and the Purple-O. This team benefits from two units that grant damage buffs to Blue-type allies, and the Methuss not only makes these units a lot tankier, it also has the ability to revive them if they fall. This team is called "Immortals" simply because of the Methuss repeatedly bringing back any allies that fall in battle.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - The-O (Purple) Icon[M0381] The-O • The-O will be one of two Armored units on this team who will share aggro with the FAZZ thanks to the Gyan. While it cannot be revived by the Methuss, it'll be extremely tough to take down and will be instrumental to keeping the rest of your team in the event that your FAZZ falls and is waiting to be revived by the Methuss.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Full Armor ZZ Gundam Icon[M0306] Full Armor ZZ Gundam • The FAZZ is an Armored unit with decent guard rate and a 99% EX damage resistance buff. While it's nowhere nearly as durable as the other Armored unit on this team alone, it'll constantly be revived and will continue defending its allies. Once the Quinn Mantha is released, it'll take the FAZZ's spot as an even better Blue-type Armored unit.
• We'll use the FAZZ to buff the damage of all Blue-type units on this team too, which affects 4 out of the 6 units on this team.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Methuss (UR) Icon[M0397] Methuss • The Methuss will dramatically improve the survivability of all Blue-type units here, and will also provide decent healing for the non-Blue-type units on this team. With its EX skill, it'll be able to bring back one Blue-type unit at a time with 45% of their max HP restored.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Unicorn Gundam NT-D (White Unicorn) Icon[M0280] Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) • Another mobile suit with the ability to buff all Blue-type damage, the White Unicorn will be your primary DPS unit that gains access to Bullseye, a 100% beam damage buff, and a 4-weapon rotation when its Hyper Awaken status is active.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Crossbone Gundam X2 Icon[M0363] Crossbone Gundam X2 • The Crossbone X2 is another DPS unit that enjoys increased damage output thanks to the buffers on this team. It'll have the Stealth status active for the first 18 seconds of combat, putting it last on the enemy target priority rankings and keeping it safe from any aggro as long as it has remaining allies alongside it.
• Once the first 18 seconds are up, the Stealth status is lost and replaced with Absolute Evade as well as a permanent damage buff for the remainder of combat.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gyan Icon[M0317] Gyan • In this team comp, we'll use the Gyan to draw aggro to the FAZZ and the Purple-O, keeping the DPS and Support units safe from any unwanted aggro.

Underwater Gedlav PvE Team

This Underwater team features mobile suits that excel Underwater, the Gedlav, the Z'Gok E, and Char's Z'Gok. Because these units aren't as overloaded as today's top-tier meta picks, we'll want to buff them up with Ez8, and keep them healed with the GM (GR). Finally, we'll round out this team with another DPS unit that doesn't lose out on too much damage when Underwater, avoiding any units with an ✖ terrain disadvantage in Underwater maps.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gedlav Icon[M0324] Gedlav • At the time of writing, the Gedlav is the best mobile suit for Underwater maps simply because it is one of the few units with a 〇 terrain rating for Underwater maps. It is able to deal good damage while being able to tank thanks to a unique blend of extremely high damage resistance buffs and damage buffs that stay active for as long as it's healthy.
• With the Ez8 dramatically improving its offensive output, and with the GM (GR) on this team, along with its own ability to heal itself with its EX skill, the Gedlav should be able to do well both as your team's primary DPS unit and primary tank as well.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Ez8 Icon[M0238] Gundam Ez8 • Because the typical meta DPS units don't work as well here, you'll need to rely on Ez8 to improve the damage output of the DPS units you have on this team. Using the Ez8 increasese the crit rate and critical ATK of all your units, but those buffs are larger for Bombardment units, which happens to be the category of the ace unit in this team.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Z[M0372] Z'Gok E • The Z'Gok E will be one of the DPS carries on this team, even as an SR-rarity mobile suit. Like the Gedlav, it also does not suffer from any terrain disadvantages being in an Underwater map, and even gains a 99% movement speed buff when battling in this type of terain.
• What makes the Z'Gok E great is how it has 3 good weapons, with 2 of them being melee weapons with SSS+ power scalings. It also has a damage cap buff worth 200,000, which allows it to reach great heights in terms of firepower.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Char[M0089] Char's Z'Gok • Char's Z'Gok is a more situational pick in the sense that you'll want to be facing Gundam-Type units, and you can't really use it if there are strong non-Gundam-Type units that you cannot afford to ignore. However, in ideal situations, and especially Underwater, this MS is a force to be reckoned with.
• On top of inflicting target priority on enemy Gundam-Types and inflicting debuffs that make them more damage, Char's Z'Gok also gets to benefit from a 50% EX gauge recovery buff when Underwater.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Geymalk Icon[M0350] Geymalk • We put the Geymalk here as it is again, one of the very best PvE DPS units. Its Bombardment typing makes it receive significant crit buffs from the Ez8, combined with its permanent damage scaling with every EX usage makes it a force to be reckoned with. If you don't have this MS, look to field in any other DPS unit you may have that does not have an ✖ terrain disadvantage in Underwater maps.

All these units are self-sustaining mobile suit with the power to regenerate back healthy all while still being capable of taking out opponents too.
