The latest ongoing iteration of Total War in March 2026 pits players against various Yellow-type Mobile Suits arranged in a 3x3 grid. Only one mobile suit is easy to deal with, as they are R-rarity enemies. The others, however, will prove more of a challenge to many players as they are more powerful mobile suits with a higher rarity.
In total, there are 9 teams to beat, but the catch here is that players can only use their units once during the entire event. If they use a strong mobile suit in their first battle, and that mobile suit wins, they will not be allowed to use that mobile suit again in the next battle. Players will have to save their strongest units for the toughest battles, pair them with weaker allies, or just focus on taking out the weakest units, which will result in missing out on some rewards.
To earn rewards, players will have to beat the enemy mobile suits according to Bingo patterns. In short, beat five enemy teams in a line, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, to earn the event's rewards.

Though the enemies in this Total War iteration are Yellow-types, Players do not necessarily need Purple-type mobile suits to beat them, even if they have a type advantage.
Because of the difficulty of the higher CP stages, players will want to use units that have durability and healing during the early and middle stages. Veteran players also have the option to use old DPS carries instead.
As for the strongest units, using them during the last five stages will increase the chances of beating the entire Total War board.

Participating in the Total War battles will reward players with Total War Medals. These Medals can be used in the Total War Shop, which can be accessed through the Shop button on the Home Menu or from the event page.

If a player has few UR units, they can stretch out singularly strong UR units by filling their teams with SR and R rarity units. As long as the team's total CP is anywhere near 1.5 to 2 million, then that team should be able to defeat both the Zaku II and RX-78-2 Gundam stages on the board. These battles are in the center and center-top portions of the board, specifically.
When these battles are cleared, players can then focus their stronger units toward fighting tougher opponents on the board.
Players may also prepare teams in advance to make sure that any pilots and MS they will use in Total War will not end up being used in another team (which would keep them from being used in the battle the player wants to have them fight in).

Total War's reset function is there for a reason. Players should get into the habit of using resets to optimize their runs. It may be possible to clear a stage with weaker or lower-rarity units, especially since two of the stages only need more than 2 million CP to beat.
This will allow players to use stronger and higher rarity units for actual tough battles ahead.
