Best Cooperative Battle Teams Explained

All-UR Team With Limited Units

These are some of the best units you can field in for Cooperative Battles at present. All these units either deal ridiculously high damage, are extremely durable, offer great utility, or a combination of these three.

However, it will take quite a lot of resources and effort not only to acquire these units, but also to invest in them and set them up optimally. Assuming you have the right investments in them and you tweak it depending on which Cooperative Battle you're doing, you should be able to deal with all Cooperative Battle I and II stages by yourself, with ease. Cooperative Battle III stages, on the other hand, have different factors that greatly alter the win conditions, so check out our Cooperative Battle Guide for specific team comps to do well in those.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sinanju (Generic) Icon[M0408] Sinanju • A straightforward DPS powerhouse with extremely potent offense thanks to high damage, crit rate, critical ATK, and access to Bullseye, all while having great survivability thanks to its flat heal on dealing damage. A top-tier unit for both PvE and PvP modes.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) Icon[M0434] Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) • The Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) is another premier DPS unit equipped with high crit damage and a self-sustaining kit similar to the Sinanju. It benefits from one of the highest damage cap boosts in the game, and has the means to reach those ridiculously high damage numbers.
• Unlike the Sinanju, this MS is a little bit more situational. It deals bonus critical ATK to Jammed units, but cannot inflict Jamming by itself outside of the 18-second Jam it inflicts on all Psycho-Frame Type enemy units when the battle begins. That makes it benefit from units that can inflict Jamming, but we won't be doing that for this team comp given how it still excels without it.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Geymalk Icon[M0350] Geymalk • A Bombardment MS that increases its own damage each time it uses its EX skill. After a few casts, it'll be able to reach its heightened damage cap with ease, given how its other self-sustaining units can keep it safe throughout the match and give it time to ramp up.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Magna Martell (Awaken) Icon[M0296] Magna Martell (Awaken) •The Awakened Magna Martell can fulfill multiple roles at once, being the tank with its Absolute Evade, DPS with its very high damage output, all while having access to the game's most powerful damage taken debuffs. If you don't have Awakened Magna Martell, look to field other debuffers in this slot instead. Phenex, Cima's Gelgoog, and Alex all excel in the debuffer role, though they're notably less powerful than the Awakened Magna Martell.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Ez8 Icon[M0238] Gundam Ez8 • While it's a little past its prime, Gundam Ez8 will serve this team well given how all units barring the supports can benefit from the crit-related buffs this MS provides.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Narrative Gundam B-Packs Icon[M0356] Narrative Gundam B-Packs • The Narrative Gundam B-Packs is a support that raises the damage output and damage cap of Generic and Sniper units. In this specific setup, it'll improve the overall damage of 3 out of 4 DPS units on the team.

Substitute picks for this team include all of the SS and S-Tier units on our PvE Tier List.

Budget Cooperative Battle Team

If you are just starting out and only managed to get a single UR mobile suit such as the S Gundam, you can cobble together this team by either farming their corresponding blueprints or chancing upon them while pulling on the game's gacha banners.

There's only one limited MS on this team, and it occupies the last or rightmost slot. This is the slot for one of the Support units you can borrow from clanmates and friends.

Other than that, none of the mobile suits listed here are limited mobile suits. The ones you can't farm from Fragment Quests, you can pull from most, if not, all of the banners, including the regular MS and Pilot Unit Assembly Banners.

With enough investment, this team will do fairly well in Cooperative Battles I and II, though it might take a while to solo stages, especially if you don't have endgame-level investments in them. While some of these units are worth bringing along to Coop III, this team will need to be revamped to be able to have enough firepower to do meaningful damage to those endgame Coop Quests.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Cima[M0351] Cima's Gelgoog Marine • Cima's Gelgoog is like a slightly worse Phenex, which used to be a staple in Coop Battles and Raid Battles, but its title as the best single-target debuffer has been taken by the Magna Martell (Awaken). If you happen to have the MMA (which also happens to be pullable from the game's regular gacha banners), use that MS in place of Cima's Gelgoog.
• If you have neither of these units, opt for other single-target debuffers like the Alex, or better yet, the Phenex.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - S Gundam Icon[M0239] S Gundam • The S Gundam is what plenty of players picked with their very first UR Selector Ticket. While it's fallen off in terms of damage when you compare it to today's top DPS units equipped with overloaded kits and increased damage caps. Still, it's a serviceable DPS unit with built-in crit rate and critical ATK buffs.
• Out of all the units on this team, it is the most replaceable, as the other DPS units have other things that make them more valuable than the S Gundam.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher) Icon[M0266] Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher) • A Bombardment MS that loops its EX skill, the Zeta Gundam is one of the few mobile suits from the regular gacha banners with a damage cap increase and a little bit of crit rate too.
• It is hindered in PvP by needing multiple levels into Potential Unleashed, as this increases the amount of EX gauge it restores with each EX cast, but it's usable in PvE at low Potential Levels.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gedlav Icon[M0324] Gedlav • The Gedlav is yet another Bombardment mobile suit. However, unlike most other backline DPS threats, this one is extremely tanky thanks to a 99% damage resistance buff that stays active for as long as its HP stays at or above 90%. When within this HP threshold, the Gedlav also benefits from damage and movement speed buffs.
• That being said, the Gedlav is capable of both tanking and DPS duties for your team.
This team in particular uses three Bombardment mobile suits to maximize the Ez8's stronger buffs, since the Ez8 grants further crit rate and critical ATK buffs to Bombardment units.
• This is yet another MS that most people should have, as it is a reward that can be earned from plenty of UR selectors.
• While this is a limited mobile suit, the rightmost slot on your team is used up by a Support mobile suit belonging to a clanmate or a friend, which could accompany you to battle. In the earlier parts of your playthrough, the Support MS would often do the heavy lifting, possibly soloing Cooperative Battles for you. Opt to fill this slot with top-tier DPS units such as the Unicorn PF, Sinanju (Generic), and the like.

If you don't have these units, you can replace them with some of these powerful mobile suits that you can also acquire by pulling from the game's gacha banners. Again, none of the mobile suits listed here are Limited units found only in specific banners.

Dolphin Cooperative Battle Team

If you consider yourself a medium-spender in this game, or you've managed to earn and save up plenty of diamonds to afford to be able to pull for more than a few UR mobile suits, then you might want to consider aiming for a few of the best MSs the game has to offer. In particular, having just Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D), Sinanju (Generic), and other new generation DPS units should be able to get you through Coop I and II with ease, and you could set up specific teams for Coop III with some of the key units on this team as a template.

That said, the following team consists of a mix of the top non-limited mobile suits paired with a couple of top-tier meta mobile suits.

Mobile Suit Details
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) Icon[M0434] Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility (NT-D) • We've already discussed the PF NT-D enough on this page, as it's made an appearance in the whale and entry-level teams, so it's no surprise how popular this MS is. If you've heard about this unit's hype, chances are you have at least 1 copy of this unit, even as a completely F2P player. If you don't happen to have one, replace this with whichever meta DPS you have investments in.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Magna Martell (Awaken) Icon[M0296] Magna Martell (Awaken) •The Awakened Magna Martell can fulfill multiple roles at once, being the tank with its Absolute Evade, being a DPS with its very high damage output, and being a debuffer with the game's most powerful damage taken debuffs.
• This MS is now pullable from the game's regular gacha banners. If you don't have Awakened Magna Martell, look to field other debuffers in this slot instead. Phenex, Cima's Gelgoog, and Alex all excel in the debuffer role, though you'll have to field an MS with good sustain or defense to draw aggro and tank.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Sinanju (Generic) Icon[M0408] Sinanju • Another MS with well-warranted hype, the Sinanju (Generic) is an extremely powerful self-sustaining DPS mobile suit. Its popularity has made it one of the most-used MSs in the game, and medium spenders or F2P Diamond savers likely pulled for this DPS machine.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Victory 2 Assault Gundam Icon[M0377] Victory 2 Assault Gundam •The V2A is an incredible utility MS with a near-unbreakable defense, potent single-target heals, and respectable damage. It will serve as both the team's tank and the team's healer. If you don't have this MS, look to field in a fully-built GM (GR) if you need a healer, or another meta DPS unit instead.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Gundam Ez8 Icon[M0238] Gundam Ez8 • Our favorite crit-enhancing Support unit makes it to the dolphin team. Its powerful team-wide buffs, paired with its accessibility thanks to being both a UR Selector reward, as well as a regular gacha pool unit, make it a staple in Cooperative Battles.
Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. Engage - Geymalk Icon[M0350] Geymalk • As for the last option, we added in Geymalk as a placeholder, which is a very fine DPS unit to round out your team. With this slot, look to field in meta DPS options from either your own pool of units or the Support selection available to you. Another fun route you could go is to run 2 of the same overpowered DPS units, one belonging to you and another from a high-level friend or clanmate. This is often one of the best ways go about some Raid Battles and most Cooperative Battle III quests.

Again, look to replace any units you don't have with whichever powerful units you have in your personal army.
