Chapter Summary and Introduction

To prepare for the impending Night of the Scarlet Moon, Ochette sets out to find Cateracta, a Creature of Legend that could help in battling the calamity.

Conning Creek

	Objectives
1	Find the source of the sound. Once you arrive in Conning Creek, and begin Ochette's tale. You can go directly to north of the two to the harbor to find the origin of the sound.

Conning Creek: Harbor

	Objectives
1	Get to the dock. Once you're in the area, head to the right to the docks. A woman will appear and claim that she is a guardian and protector of the Sea God.
2	Provoke and defeat Alpione. Her strength will be greater than most enemies you will face in the open world. Use Mahina or Akala to reveal her weaknesses.
3	Head to the Cavern of the Sea God.

Cavern of the Sea God

	Objectives
1	Learn about Cateracta's fate. Alpione will show appear once more and ask why you seek Cateracta. After a brief conversation, she will reveal Cateracta's fate.
2	Investigate what Alpione is looking at. Head further in to find a mysterious egg in the middle of the cavern.
2	Acquire Acta. After hatching and befriending Cateracta's offspring, you will now acquire Acta, the last legacy of the Sea God as part of your animal companions.

How to Beat Alpione

Use Mahina or Akala to reveal weaknesses

It is also highly recommended that you utilize the monsters you have captured along the way. Use your main companion, Mahina or Akala, to reveal weaknesses and then use your other monsters to break and damage Alpione to submission.

Capture a Healer Before the Fight

You will have to fight Alpione alone so be sure you have captured a beast capable of healing you as you try and whittle down Alpione's HP. This will also be helpful in dealing with her poison attacks that last for a few turns.
