Chapter Summary and Introduction
After receiving financial support from the noble Alrond, Partitio receives word that Roque is going to make an important announcement regarding the steam engine. So he sails to Roque Island to complete his deal with Roque.

Find an Alternate Route to the Headquarters Head to the local tavern in the southwest side of the area. |

Go to the Conference Follow the path until you reach the East Tower and then the Headquarters. In these areas you'll have several combat encounters and find several chests. At the end of the East Tower, you'll find a last save point. The boss fight will ensue in the next area so be sure to make a save here. |

Purchase the Rights to the Steam Engine Use Path Action Purchase on Roque to purchase the rights to the steam engine. |

Defeat the Boss After purchasing the steam engine rights from Roque, the boss battle will ensue. There is a Save Point in the East Tower exit before reaching the Headquarters. Be sure to make a save before continuing. Defeat the Steam Tank Obsidian to continue forward. If it proves to be difficult, it is recommended to wander around the East Tower to grind more EXP. |

How to Beat The Steam Tank Obsidian
Focus on Destroying Front Parts Immediately
The Steam Tank Obsidian has three parts protecting its weaknesses and raising its shield. Try to focus on destroying The Cannon, Smokestack, and Glacis Plate as soon as possible to unlock the weaknesses and bring down the tank's shield value to a more manageable value. The different parts also have vicious attacks and can really do a lot of damage if they can all attack on the same turn.
Time Your Attacks and Breaks
The different parts of the Steam Tank take several turns before they launch another attack. Always make note of this to determine which parts you can currently focus on and ignore for the turn. Tracking this will also allow you to break them at the right time to extend their inactive turns.
Utilize Attacks Targeting All Foes
Despite having inactive weaknesses, the Steam Tank can still take damage while the other parts are still present. Utilizing multi-target skills such as the Hunter's Draefeni's Bow, the Apothecary's Sweeping Cleave, or the Dancer's Dagger Dance will allow you to decrease the shield value of the other parts while still dealing damage to the Steam Tank.
The different parts have overlapping elemental weaknesses as well, so you can use the Scholar's different skills to damage Break multiple parts at the same time.
Launch Heavy Attacks When Weaknesses are in Effect
The Steam Tank can repair itself bringing back all the other parts to life. So once you are able to unlock its weaknesses, break the tank and launch all your best attacks to try to destroy it as soon as possible.
