How to Change Time of Day

Switch Time by Pressing ZR or R2

Players can switch between night and day by pressing the ZR button (Switch) or the R2 button (Playstation).

This is a new mechanic within the series and allows you to change Path Actions depending on the time of day, enabling you to interact with the world around you in different ways.

Switches Path Actions

Path Actions are special skills unique to each traveler used outside of battle to uncover secrets, find items, and more. Each traveler has a different Path Action depending on the time of day.

Stronger Enemy Spawn

During night time, stronger monsters come out at night which can be useful if you want to grind to make your party stronger.
EXP Farming Guide

Reveals Black Market Shops

During the night, travelers can encounter Black Market vendors on the map and they sell rare products like weapons, armor, accessories, and items. Black Market products changes every night, so make sure to buy whatever product you need before it disappears.

Some of the products can be quite pricey, so make sure that you have enough Leaves.
