Altar of the Thunderblade, Eastern Sai Sands

The fastest way to the Altar of the Thunderblade where you'll acquire Hikari's EX Skill Ultimate Stance is to fast travel to Sai in Hinoeuma, exit to Southern Sai Sands, head east to the Eastern Sai Sands, and look for a ruined temple located south of the area.

The fastest way to the Altar of the Lady of Grace where you'll acquire Agnea's EX Skill Windy Refrain is to fast travel to Wellgrove in Leaflands, exit to Eastern Wellgrove Trail, head north to the Northern Wellgrove Trail, and take the path heading north until you find a tree with a hidden cave near it.

Altar of the Prince of Thieves, Southern Clockbank Highroad

The fastest way to the Altar of the Prince of Thieves where you'll acquire Throne's EX Skill Veil of Darkness is to fast travel to Clockbank in Brightlands and exit to Southern Clockbank Highroad. Cross the wooden bridge north and head over to the port to get in a Canoe. In the river, row your boat to the east before the waterfalls, then head south to get to the altar.

Altar of Scholarking, Western Winterbloom Snows

The fastest way to the Altar of Scholarking where you'll acquire Osvald's EX Skill Teach is to fast travel to Winterbloom in Winterlands, and exit to Western Winterbloom Snows. Once you see the bridge, drop down from the ledge. There's a hidden entrance underneath it that leads to the altar.

The fastest way to the Altar of the Flamebringer where you'll acquire Temenos' EX Skill Prayer for Plenty is to fast travel to Flamechurch in Crestlands, and exit to Eastern Flamechurch Pass. Continue east until you reach Borderfall. Climb up north and take the path leading west until you reach the church. Once inside the church, behind the left bookshelf is a door that will get you to the altar.

Altar of the Trader, Southern Crackridge Wilds

The fastest way to the Altar of the Trader where you'll acquire Partitio's EX Skill Negotiate Schedule is to fast travel to Crackridge Harbor: Anchorage in Wildlands, and exit north to Southern Crackridge Wilds. Keep traveling east and head inside the mines behind the treasure chest. Once you get past the mines, continue heading east to get to the altar.

Altar of the Huntress, Western Tropu'hopu Traverse

The fastest way to the Altar of the Huntress where you'll acquire Ochette's EX Skill Indomitable Beast is to fast travel to Tropu'hopu in Toto'haha, and exit west to Western Tropu'hopu Traverse. Follow the path until you reach an open sandy beach. To your south is a treasure chest sitting on top of a cliff, head towards it, and it should take you to the altar.

Altar of the Charitable, North of Conning Creek

The fastest way to the Altar of the Charitable where you'll acquire Castti's EX Skill Drastic Measures is to fast travel to Conning Creek in Harborlands, and exit west to Western Conning Creek Coast. Follow the path heading north to Northern Conning Creek Coast. Once you come across a fork in the path, take the path leading east, and follow it until you reach a temple.

Each character has two EX abilities, one of which can be unlocked through visiting altars scattered across the world of Solistia. These altars are often hidden from the player, but you can tell where they are by looking for their icon on the map.

Once you find an Altar, you'll be met with a statue with which you can interact to receive the EX skill as a reward.

You'll need to recruit the required character and place them in your party list to obtain the EX skill as a reward for finding the altar. The altar only answers to those considered to be the chosen ones, specifically, the characters that belong to that specific region where the altar is.

Obtain Powerful EX Skills For Your Character

Entering one of the Altars scattered across the land of Solistia will grant the player a powerful EX Skill. This can only be done if the player has the corresponding character required to receive the skill.

Once received, the EX skill will automatically be equipped and can be used to unleash powerful attacks or beneficial support skills. There are a total of 8 Altars scattered in each region of Solistia.
