Osvald Chapter 5 Walkthrough

Osvald Chapter 5 Walkthrough

Chapter Summary and Introduction

Osvald must now face Harvey in Gravell hoping that he may save and reunite with his daughter, Elena. Both Osvald and Harvey now have access to the One True Magic and must duel to the death to settle this once and for all.

Gravell

	Objectives
1	Check on the villagers. Go to the Duskruin Shrine and interact with the villagers that have fallen to the ground.
2	Mug the villagers for their black crystals. It is highly recommended that Osvald is equipped with the Armsmaster Secondary Job as it offers the greatest range of physical attacks for breaking villagers.

Path to Duskruin Shrine

	Objectives
1	Head to Duskruin Shrine. Continue Mugging the villagers possesed by the Black Crystals as you get nearer to teh Duskruin Shrine

Duskruin Shrine

	Objectives
1	Make for the depths of the Duskruin Shrine. Continue going right until you reach the next marker to the depths.

Duskruin Shrine Depths

	Objectives
1	Confront Harvey. After a cutscene Harvey will send out two of his creations to try and slow you down.
2	Defeat the Golems.

Conning Creek

	Objectives
1	Scrutinize Elena. After the battle in the Shrine, Osvald leaves Elena in Lady Clarissa's care in Conning Creek. Once you are in control of Osvald, go upstairs and scrutinize Elena. Afterwards a cutscene will play out concluding Osvald's storyline.

How to Beat Professor Harvey

Elemental Attacks Against Pure Elementals

Harvey will sometimes spawn two Pure Elementals to aid him in battle. While they do not seem to be intimidating, they can still deal a good amount of damage. Their SP is relatively low, and can be broken with any three elemental attacks except Dark. It is recommended that you use Fire, Ice, or Lightning Magic as it can also deplete Harvey's SP in the process.

Use Soulstones

If you are not confident with your physical attackers, you can opt to use Soulstones to deal damage in the thousands regardless of stats.

Reserve One True Magic for Full Power

Osvald's new ability, One True Magic, is an extremely powerful attack that lowers shield points regardless weakness. It is recommended that this attack be reserved for when Harvey is at 1 SP left or if Osvald is at full power. This ensures the highest number of damage possible.

Gravell

All Chest Locations
Quartz Shield Upper-east side next to the boy overlooking the ocean.

Duskruin Shrine

All Chest Locations
Abyssal Rod Located at the eastern platform of the Duskruin Shrine depths.
Critical Necklace Go down the ladder located southwest of the save point. After that follow the mine cart rails.
Healing Grape Bunch Found on the platform to the west of the Duskruin Shrine depths save point.
Olive of Life (L) Go through the short narrow trail to the west of the save point.
25000 Leaves After reaching the base of the spiral staircase, take first staircase to the right and look for a small archway.
Shadow Soulstone (L) Go to the eastern platform just before the final area in the depths.
Empowering Lychee (L) Once you enter the Duskruin Shrine depths, keep going east.
Ice Soulstone (L) Head down the spiral staircase until you reach a miniature coliseum.
