In Octopath Traveler 2, players can buy their own ship by doing Partitio's Scent of Commerce in Toto'haha. Read on to learn how to get your own ship and all the extra features you get from buying one.

2 | Go to the shipyard by going to the right. Afterward, a scene will play out. |
3 | After watching the scene, proceed further to the dock and talk to a standing NPC named Terry. |
4 | Use Partitio's Path Action on Terry to purchase the ship for 100,000 Leaves. |
Players can buy a ship for 100,000 Leaves by having Partitio in the party and doing his first Scent of Commerce.

Players can hire an NPC that gives discounts to purchase the ship for a lower price. There are a few NPCs inside Tropu'hopu that you can hire to get you a discount when purchasing the ship from Terry.
The Sailor gives a 5% chance to get 50% off purchases, while the Merchant guarantees a 20% discount when hired.

Players will be happy to know that there is an option to pick between four different color variants: unpainted, black, blue, or red.

Not only can players change the color of the ship, but also change the symbol of the sail. There are four different designs such as no symbol, sun symbol, the trident of the sea god, and octopus.
Players can discover areas such as secret islands or towns that are inaccessible by ferries. Sail the large bodies of water, and you might discover an island or town waiting to be explored!
While sailing the seas, players might randomly encounter enemies while exploring. Be wary since these random encounters will contain strong enemies, and you need to be at least Level 30+ before tackling the dangers awaiting in the Sundering Sea.
Alongside the countless enemies you may encounter in The Sundering Sea, players can also take on a powerful boss by going into a Spiral marked on the map. A warning will appear if you dare charge into the area.
Be prepared, as these bosses are really strong and might wipe the party if you come unprepared.
