New Game Plus is Unavailable

Octopath Traveler 2 does not have a New Game Plus available after completing the game. Once you finish the game, there will be no option to play the game all over again using your current save file, and you'll have to restart your progress.

Make sure that if you're running a 100% completion on your save file, you don't proceed to the epilogue at the end, as it will lock you out of the game. Finish what's left of the side stories, collect all the collectibles for the achievements, and explore what you can before you proceed to the epilogue.

Initiating Epilogue Finishes the Game

Once you complete the Extra Stories, players have the option to proceed through the ending of the game by going through with the epilogue. Doing so will place them at a point of no return, locking them out from completing unfinished side stories.
