In the Part 1 of The Scholar and Merchant Crossed Paths tale, Osvald and Partitio bump into one of Osvald's old acquaintances, Regulus. He is in financial trouble and acquires the services of Partitio to help him complete a project.

In Part 2, Osvald and Partitio visit Montwise to check on Regulus' invention. They find him in distress having lost the invention, so they help him retrieve it. Take note that you need to complete Osvald and Partitio's individual stories to unlock Part 2 of their Crossed Paths tale. There have been reports of having to require finishing Ochette's route as well, but based on our testing, her path didn't need to be completed!

1	Make for the Tavern Head to the local tavern on the east side of the area.
2	Purchase the Telescope Components Use Partitio's Path Action Purchase on the marked townspeople to acquire the following items: ・Metalworking Tool - 200 Leaves ・Mirror - 250 Leaves ・Precision Lens - 300 Leaves
3	Give Regulus the Components Head to the Theater, northwest of the area to find Regulus. Give him the components.

1	Make for Regulus' Laboratory Head to the northeast side of the library and up the stairs to enter Regulus' Laboratory.
2	Make for the Moneylender's Mansion Head to the northeast side of the area until a cutscene triggers. Defeat the Thugs in your way to continue forward. Thug I ・2 SP ・Weaknesses: Sword, Bow, Fire, Lightning Thug II ・2 SP ・Weaknesses: Polearm, Ice, Lightning Thug III ・3 SP ・Weaknesses: Dagger, Bow, Lightning, Light Thug Leader ・5 SP ・Weaknesses: Polearm, Bow, Light
