In Octopath Traveler 2, there are items called Nuts that can give permanent stat boosts to characters. Find out what bonuses and effects each nut does, as well as how to get them.

There are different types of nuts that give permanent stat increase to one of the character's stats ranging from increasing their physical attack, physical defense, elemental attack and so on.

Nuts can still be given to anyone, but the stat increase won't be as high as the ones listed above.
Nuts do not have a fixed value when it comes to its stat increase, as the increase is measured via the character's base stat.
For example, giving a Slippery Nut to Throne will give her more Evasion increase than other characters as Throne has the highest Evasion base stat out of all the characters.

How to Get Nuts
Get from Chests
Players can acquire nuts from opening chests which are scattered across the map of Solistia and exploring inside dungeons.

Use Path Actions
By using characters' Path Actions, it is possible to get Nuts from NPCs if they have it with them.

Finish Side Stories
By doing side stories, players can get a Nut as one of the rewards by completeing these side stories.

What Do Nuts Do?
Permanent Stat Increase
Consuming a Nut will permanently increase one of the stats of a character depending on the type of nut consumed.
Keep in mind that nuts are not that common so it is best to give Nuts to characters you like using in battle!
