There are no known romance options and mechanics in Octopath Traveler 2. Read on to find out what the closest mechanic is to romance options, information on the Crossed Paths mechanic, and more!
There are no romantic options available within Octopath Traveler 2. However, there is a new mechanic called Crossed Paths that allows a character to interact with another traveler.
While nothing is confirmed, there is a possibility that romance might bloom between two characters during the events of their Crossed Paths.
All Changes, Differences, and New Features
Some of the characters in the game can share a Crossed Path, which can be unlocked after finishing specific character chapters. For example, Throne and Temenos' Crossed Paths becomes available if players complete Throne's Chapter 2 and Temenos' Chapter 2.
After this, players can go to the location indicated in the map with both characters in your active party to activate their Crossed Path.

Crossed Paths is a new gameplay mechanic introduced within the game. In this new mechanic, two protagonists' tales intertwine, allowing the two characters to form a mutual understanding and team up one another.
