Best Secondary Jobs

Inventor, Cleric, and Merchant

Job	Explanation
Inventor	・Does not require SP to use any of its skills, best paired on characters that require a lot of SP on their primary job. ・Springy Boots makes sure that you will be able to act first for the next 5 turns, useful when setting up buffs. ・Tin Horn fills the Latent Power gauge of all allies which can be used in farming runs.
Cleric	・Inner Strength raises the user's SP by 50, which is generally good, especially on characters such as Osvald. ・Has access to Rise Again, a useful support skill that allows the user to revive after being incapacitated once with 25% of their max HP. ・Mystical Staff allows you to steal 10% of your enemy's SP for the amount of damage you deal, which can be sustainable in the long run.
Merchant	・Versatile job that benefits most, if not, all other jobs due to their Support Skills. ・ Has Full Power, which allows users to gain their Latent Power at the start of the battle. ・Grants the user additional BP due to Boost-Start, which is good if you want to kill enemies fast when farming. ・Rest allows the user to recover HP and SP, as well as cure any status ailment.

Secret Jobs Are Generally Strong

Job	Explanation
Armsmaster	・A strong secret job that covers all the weapon types available in the game. ・Job skills can be unlocked by bringing rusty weapons to Porta. ・Rusty weapons can turn into Divine Weapons that deal tons of damage to enemies. ・ Is extremely strong when all of the divine weapons are available.
Arcanist	・A job that can extend its own skills to all party members. ・Is able to deal dark-based elemental attacks to foes that also restores HP and SP to allies. ・Has the ability to change stat-reducing effects afflicted on allies into stat-raising effects.

Hikari Class Combo

Class Combination		Description
Warrior Armsmaster	・The Armsmaster job provides all weapon types to the character. Whether you're building Hikari as a tank or a damage-dealer, this job will fit him well. ・The Armsmaster's Bulwark utlilized with the Warrior's Incite, Vengeful Blade, and Stout Wall makes for a great combo for tank builds. ・The Warrior's Abide paired with the Armsmaster's Lionheart's Axe: On the Hunt is one of the highest damage dealing skill pairs in the game.
Warrior Hunter	・A versatile Physical Attacker combo that covers most of the weapon types in the game. ・Paired with the Hunter's Take Aim and Eagle Eye to increase crit and Warrior's self-buffing capabilities, you'll get an enormous amount of damage done to your enemies.
Warrior Apothecary	・A support-type job combination that allows Hikari to become a tank with his skill Incite and Apothecary's many HP/SP recovery skills. ・It also allows Hikari to recover a lot of SP due to Inspiriting Break's effects. ・Since Hikari effectively becomes a tank, he can make full use of his Vengeful Blade skill, allowing him to counter physical attacks with his own.

Agnea Class Combo

Class Combination		Description
Dancer Inventor		・The Inventor job has some of the best single-target buff/debuff skills such as Springy Boots, Critical Scope, and Arkar's Coil. Agnea's Latent Power allows the Inventor's single-target skills to instead target all foes or all allies.
Dancer Apothecary		・ A powerful support type class combination that makes full use of Agnea's Latent Power. ・Agnea's Latent Power All Together Now can extend the reach of single-target skills to all, which can be used in conjunction with Apothecary's strong single-target healing and buffs. ・She can also revive all of her allies when Healing Touch is used with her Latent Power at the cost of only 6 SP on top of healing. In comparison, Cleric's Job skill requires 40 SP to use Revive. ・Due to Inspiriting Break's effects, she's very sustainable in terms of both HP/SP regen.
Dancer Cleric		・A support combination allowing Agnea to access much of Cleric's mitigation skills and extend it to all of her allies when using her Latent Power. ・An example of these powerful mitigation skills are Cleric's Sacred Shield, which reduces damage taken by 50%, and Prayer to the Flame, which raises the Physical and Elemental defense of an ally. ・Mystical Staff can now be used on all your enemies instead of a single target when using her Latent Power. This allows Agnea to increase the SP she gains from using this skill.

Throne Class Combo

Class Combination		Description
Thief Dancer		・A combination where Throne is used as a support where she can inflict status ailments while at the same time giving buffs to her allies. ・Her Latent Power Leave no Trace allows her to have twice the actions per turn and is very useful for applying more buffs or status ailments. ・You also cover two types of elemental attacks when using Dancer, Wind and Dark.
Thief Merchant		・A type of support combination where Throne's Latent Power is fully utilized using Merchant's skills. ・Throne can use her Latent Power to support her allies and give them twice the amount of BP thanks to Merchant's Donate BP skill and Boost-Start. ・This ensures that she can basically get someone to 3 BPs at the start of the turn, allowing for a massive damage opener. ・Using Merchant allows her to cover 4 types of weapons: sword, dagger, polearm, and bow.
Thief Warrior		・A combination where Throne can use her Latent Power paired with Warrior's Incite and Vengeful Blade allows her to effectively become a tank. ・Each time she is hit by a physical attack, she can counter and apply attribute-reducing effects to her opponents, thanks to Ensnare.

Osvald Class Combo

Class Combination		Description
Scholar Cleric		・Using Cleric as the second job for Osvald allows you to cover 4 elemental types: Fire, Ice, Lighting, and Light, making you versatile when it comes to elemental attacks. ・The HP and mitigation skills that come with Cleric are a huge advantage to Osvald whenever he uses his Path Action, Mug, where he'll have to fight solo against an enemy. ・Mystical Staff and Inner Strength are good skills for Osvald as both give him SP, allowing him to use more of his elemental skills in combat.
Scholar Merchant		・Having Merchant as a secondary job allows Osvald to gain BP and dish out massive damage at the start of the battle. ・This pair is mostly used on farming waves of enemies since Osvald gets to reap the benefits of Boost-Start, which allows him to have an additional BP at the start of the battle, augmenting his attacks on all foes. ・Rest is also good on Osvald, who uses a lot of SP to dish out damage.

Temenos Class Combo

Class Combination		Description
Cleric Scholar		・A combination that allows Temenos to deal damage while supporting his own allies with his mitigation and heals. ・Self-sufficient when it comes to his SP consumption due to Cleric's Mystical Staff and Inner Strength, allowing him to use more of Scholar's skills. ・Great at shredding tanky enemies due to his Latent Power, Judgment, which allows him to lower an enemy's shield point, regardless of weakness, paired with Scholar's high damaging spells.
Cleric Warrior		・This pair allows Tememos to go on the offensive and shred his enemy's shield. ・Judgement paired with Warrior's Aggressive Slash allows Temenos to destroy an enemy's shield instantly. ・You can also use Incite to force enemies to attack you paired with Vengeful Blade and Judgement to shred all of your enemies' shield.

Partitio Class Combo

Class Combination		Description
Merchant Arcanist		・The Arcanist's Seal of Diffusion allows skills that only targets the user to be instead applied to the entire party. Partitio has two great skills that work with Seal of Diffusion, Side Step and Rest. ・The aforementioned skills and the Arcanist's Seal of Immortality and the Merchant's Donate BP makes this job combo one of the best supports in the game.
Merchant Apothecary		・Since Partitio can basically get his BP at Max using a combination of his Latent Power and support skill at the start of the battle, he can easily use the Divine Skill Dohter's Charity, which effectively extends the reach of items to all party members. ・Partitio can also use a Max BP Rehabilitate at the start of the battle. ・With Apothecary as his secondary job, he gets two elemental attacks: Fire and Ice.
Merchant Dancer		・Due to how his kit works, Partitio will be able to use Dancer's divine skill, Sealticge's Seduction, at the start of the battle, which can extend the reach of an ally's skill to all for 3 turns. ・With the Dancer as his secondary job, Partitio can cover two types of elemental attacks: Wind and Fire.
Merchant Cleric		・Again, Partitio will be able to use Cleric's Divine Skill, Aelfric's Blessing at the start of the fight, which grants an ally to act again at the end of the turn for 3 turns. ・With his BP at max level, he can use Sacred Shield to increase the damage taken from 50% to 100% at the start of a fight.

Class Combination		Description
Hunter Warrior		・This job pairing allows Ochette to augment her physical power using enhancing effects from both her job class and the Warrior. ・Using Abide, Take Aim, and Eagle Eye combined with her Latent Power is sure to deal a massive amount of damage on any enemies she takes on. ・Deal More Damage also increases the damage cap, improving her physical power even more. ・Covers sword, polearms, axe, and bow weapon types, making her versatile in breaking shields during battle.
Hunter Thief		・This pairing allows Ochette to use Steal on top of her Capture to get the most out of the items during an encounter. ・Using the Thief's Surprise Attack on top of Ochette's crit-enhancing skills along with her Heighten Senses allows her to deal high amounts of damage to a single enemy. ・This combination of jobs allows Ochette to cover all 4 types of weapons: sword, dagger, axe, and bow.

Class Combination		Description
Apothecary Cleric		・ Two combinations of jobs allowing Castti to cover all of her weaknesses as a single-target healer and support. ・ Having the Cleric as her secondary job allows her to access mitigation skills and party-wide heals, which she lacks.
Apothecary Dancer		・Another support combination where Castti can grant buffs to allies on top of her healing. She can also use Dancer's divine skill to extend the effects of her skill to all party members. ・Replenish Health paired with Dancer's Sealticge's Seduction allows everyone in the party to get constantly healed. Rehabilitate can also be used with the Divine Skill to prevent bosses from inflicting status ailments on the party.
Apothecary Merchant		・This combination allows Castti to gain additional BP from Boost-Start to improve her skills at the start of the battle. ・Full Power makes it easier for Castti to use her Latent Power and create concoctions.

How to Get a Secondary Job

Obtained by Finding Guilds Across Solistia

If you want a secondary job for your character, you'll need to head to a place called Guilds scattered across the world of Solistia. From there, you can talk to the Guildmaster, and they'll give out Licenses, which you give to a traveler to get the secondary job.
