Use the RPG-7 for Phase One

The Shagohod itself cannot be defeated non-lethally. To progress to the second phase of the fight, you must first disable it. Target the treads with the RPG-7 to immobilize the Shagohod, then fire into the exposed rear section once Eva maneuvers into position. Repeat this process until the cutscene triggers to start the second phase.

Disable a Tread and Shoot Volgin With Mk22 or Mosin Nagant in Phase Two

In the second phase, Volgin will jump on top of the Shagohod to take control. To damage him non-lethally, shoot one of the treads with the RPG-7 to temporarily immobilize the Shagohod. While it’s stopped, Volgin will be exposed, giving you a window to hit him with the Mk22 tranquilizer pistol or the Mosin Nagant sniper rifle.

The Shagohod Non-Lethal Reward

No Reward for Stamina Kill

Defeating the Shagohod and Volgin non-lethally does not unlock any special reward or camouflage. The option to drain Volgin’s stamina is included here because completing the fight without kills is required to earn the PEACE WALKER trophy and the FOXHOUND title on Extreme and European Extreme difficulty.
