This is a guide to defeating Ocelot non-lethally in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake). Read on to learn how to drain Ocelot’s stamina and earn the Animals Camouflage as a reward.

How to Non-Lethal Ocelot
Use the Mk22 and Stun Grenades
Use the MK22 tranquilizer pistol or stun grenades to wear down Ocelot. Aim for headshots with the MK22 to deplete his stamina quickly and finish the fight non-lethally.
Tip: On higher difficulties, it’s better to stick with the MK22 since you can only carry a maximum of 3 Stun Grenades, and throwing one leaves you open to attack.
Use the Left Rock for Cover

At the start of the fight, quickly move behind the rock to your left. Doing this forces Ocelot to only peek and shoot from the right side of the arena. This makes his movements more predictable, giving you a safer angle to shoot from and helping you avoid taking damage.
Shoot Him While He Reloads
Ocelot uses his trademark revolvers and will stop to reload. This is the safest opening to line up your tranquilizer shots or your stun grenade because he is stuck in the reload animation and cannot dodge.
He also performs flashy ricochet tricks where he bounces bullets off objects. These moments leave him vulnerable at the very start or end of the animation, give you another chance to hit him.
Use the Environment to Distract Him
Shooting down the hornet's next hanging on a tree will send swarms after Ocelot, which will force him to move from cover and giving you a chance to land stamina shots.
Another option is to shoot the Markhor behind Ocelot. When it goes down, Ocelot will usually stop to glance back at it, giving you a brief window to land an easy shot.

Defeating Ocelot non-lethally unlocks the Animals Camo, a uniform decorated with animal prints. Wearing this camouflage removes any hand shake when readying weapons. It’s best to use in no food runs, as it cancels the maximum gun sway effect when Snake’s stamina hits zero.
Tip: Snake won’t receive it immediately after the cutscene. You'll have to pick it up from the ground next to you upon spawning in Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch.
