To pick up a body, first stand close to it then hold the Square button. Next, use the Left stick to drag the body out of sight, such as around a corner or into a secure hiding spot away from patrol routes.
To let go of the body, simply release the Square button. Sometimes, an item might drop from the body as you release it.

You can set the pick up button (Square/X) to either a Hold or Toggle setting. This can be changed in the Options > Game menu.
By switching to Toggle, you can simply tap the button to begin dragging a body and tap it again to let go, saving you from having to hold the button down for long periods while moving an enemy to a safe hiding spot.

To hide bodies in lockers within enemy facilities, simply approach a locker door and press the Action button to open it. Then, drag the knocked-out or dead enemy inside. Snake will close the door shortly after.
Unconscious enemies stored in lockers or toilet stalls will remain out indefinitely until you transition to a new area.
During Operation Snake Eater, in Groznyj Grad, there will be a required drag and hide body sequence you have to complete as a key objective for deeper infiltration.
