Pick up and drop enemy bodies to collect loot in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake). This guide covers how looting works, the controls you’ll need, and tips to maximize your drops.

Pick Up and Drop Bodies to Get Loot

PS5
Hold Square Buttonto start picking up the body. As soon as the animation starts, release Square Buttonto drop it and get loot.

To loot a downed enemy, simply pick them up then drop them back down again to get their loot to drop. If you're playing on New Style controls, you can change the button input to "toggle" instead of "hold" via the Options menu. This should make the pick-up-and-drop sequence much quicker.

Killed Enemies Only Have 1 Loot Drop

If an enemy is killed, the process of looting is the same. However, you'll only get one piece of loot from them. Enemies who were taken down non-lethally will offer up 2 loot drops instead.

Holding Up an Enemy

In order to hold up an enemy in-game, start by stalking the enemy quietly from behind. Once you're in CQC range, aim your gun at them to get them to drop theirs.

Then, while keeping your weapon trained on them, move around to face the enemy. Start aiming at their vitals to get them to drop their loot on the ground.
