Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake)

Game Length: How Long to Beat

Add to Watchlist

How Long To Beat

It takes around 7 to 9 hours to complete a regular playthrough of Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake). Find out how long it takes to beat the game on normal difficulty, including all collectibles, achievements, and challenges.

How Long to Beat The Game

Completion Playtime
Main Story
(Normal)
7~9 hours w/ Cutscenes
Speedrunning
(Normal)
2~3 hours w/out Cutscenes
100% Completion +2~3 hours on top of the story playthrough
FOXHOUND Rank +3~4 hours of resets to avoid alerts, minimize damage, and get non-lethal boss kills

7~9 Hours for the Main Story

Main Story

You can expect your Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater main story playthrough on normal difficulty to run for 7~9 hours. This estimate also includes the runtime for cutscenes which amounts to 5+ hours if watched without skipping. Boss fights in the game are quite challenging, and this can significantly extend your total playtime.

Speedrunning Can Take 2~3 Hours

If you have played MGS3 before, you can finish the MGS Delta main story in 2~3 hours while on Normal if you skip all the cutscences.

Additional 2~3 Hours to Obtain All Collectibles

Collectible

The game features a ton of secrets and collectibles that you'll need to keep track of if you plan to get all of them in a single run. If you include extra objectives like finding all Kerotan figures and collecting all plants and animals (for the EZ Gun), you're looking at an extra 2~3 hours on top of your regular playthrough.

While possible to obtain all the collectibles, backtracking for missables can also slow down your progress which can add several hours of playtime if you don't have a convenient save.

Extra 2~3 Hours for Foxhound Runs

Each playthrough in MGS Delta will be rated after you complete the full game. To get the Foxhound rank (the highest rating you can get), you'll have to adhere to a set of challenge run rules that will lengthen your playtime.

If you're a new player who has not played MGS3, you're looking at an extra 2~3 hours of planning, practicing, and resetting to avoid and minimize damage to get this coveted rating.
