Ocelot is the first boss you fight in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake). Read on to learn how to beat Ocelot in Bolshaya Past Crevice, including tips for getting a non-lethal boss kill, missable collectibles you can get in his arena, and rewards for beating him.

Since this is your first boss fight, it bears mentioning that the first thing you'll want to do for any boss fight is detach your suppressor. Suppressors in MGS Delta degrade when used, so you'll want to save this precious resource by detaching it before the boss fight.
Shoot Once then Wait Out His Invincibility
Whenever Ocelot gets shot, he'll briefly turn invincible for a short period of time (indicated by a dull HP bar). To avoid wasting ammo, shoot once then retreat back behind your chosen piece of cover until his HP and stamina bar light up again.
Shoot Ocelot When He Pauses to Shoot
Despite all his posturing, Ocelot isn't really that good of a shot. Before he shoots, there is a very noticeable pause where you can shoot him before he gets his own shots off. Time your attacks during these pauses and you'll breeze through this boss fight.
Shoot Ocelot When He Reloads
Another good window to deal damage is when Ocelot decides to reload out in the open. Pay attention to the bullet counter beneath Ocelot's HP and stamina bar. Once all 12 bullets are gone, he'll enter a reload animation. Hit any button to skip the forced camera angle and shoot him while he reloads outside of cover.
Use the Rocks in the Middle as Cover

Midway through the battle both Ocelot and his Ocelot Unit (the soldiers behind you) will start shooting at Naked Snake. To avoid taking damage, the best place to take cover in will be the two rocks in the middle of your area.
The rock to your north provides ample cover from Ocelot, and the rock to your south will allow you to partially take cover from any potshots his men might throw your way.
Watch Out For the Snakes
There are 2 venomous snakes on your side of the arena - a Coral Snake to the west and a King Cobra to the east. You can shoot both early so that you don't have to watch your feet while taking cover from Ocelot and his men.
Use Hornet Nests to Flush Out Ocelot
There are hornet nests hanging from the trees that you can shoot in order to distract Ocelot. When he stands to swat at the hornets, you'll get a free shot on him. However, only use this as a last resort as Ocelot can quickly adapt and do the same to you.

You won't really have much choice during this fight since the only available guns will be the Mk22 (non-lethal), the M1911A1, and the AK-47. However, of the 3, the AK-47 is the worst choice since Ocelot gets invulnerability frames, rendering its full-auto capabilities useless.
Ocelot Boss Fight Rewards
Animals Camouflage
Defeating Ocelot by depleting his stamina bar (stamina/non-lethal kill) will reward you with the Animal Camouflage. This camo is missable. So, if you don't want to have to replay the game for completion's sake, make sure to take Ocelot down only using the Mk22.

Bolshaya Past Crevice Upon spawning, look southeast towards the tall grass (on the side where Ocelot's men are). The Kerotan will be hiding in the grass. |

Bolshaya Past Crevice As soon as you spawn in, go to the west side of your platform then look north. Just after the tall grass in Ocelot's side of the arena, you'll find the camouflaged GA-KO among the rocks. If you can't spot it, chuck a grenade in the general vicinity to collect it. |
