☆ Which MGS Game to Pick at Start?

New Game Plus becomes available after you complete Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake) for the first time. Read on to learn what carries over to New Game Plus as well as any changes you can expect in NG+ runs.

✖︎ Main Story Progress ✖︎ Map Progress |
NG+ allows you to use everything except the weapons and equipment you unlocked while playing the story. This means, the only thing you really need to unlock during NG+ are the different weapons and equipment Snake uses as he makes his way to Groznyj Grad.
Naturally, you'll also be able to use game clear rewards at the very start of NG+. This includes the Patriot (the Boss's infinite ammo rifle) and the Single Action Army revolver.
Do note that some of these carried over items don't just apply to NG+. If you start a regular new game, you'll still have access to everything listed above except the unlocked camos. On a new game save, you'll have to re-unlock boss camos as well as any of the other camos looted during a regular playthrough.
Given that this is a linear game, main story progress will not carry over to NG+. There is no mission selector, which means all NG+ runs will start from the Virtuous Mission with no ability to skip ahead.
Similarly, any map data you may have collected will not carry over. This means you won't get the full map of each area until you fully explore it.

The only real addition and change to NG+ in MGS Delta is the ability to start an NG+ playthrough on any difficulty. In the original MGS3, you could only start NG+ on the difficulty you completed it in. This has since been changed in MGS Delta.

In order to unlock NG+, you'll need to finish the story at least once. At the very end, make sure to save when prompted so that you retain that Complete save that allows you to start NG+ runs.
Now, whenever you want to start a new NG+ playthrough, simply reload that Completed save and it should take you to the NG+ start screen.
