Wax On, Wax Off is a trophy requiring you to parry all of The Boss's CQC attacks in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake). Read on to learn how to earn this trophy as well as how to counter the Boss during the final fight of the game.

How to Parry the Boss's CQC Attacks
Press the CQC Button When She Readies to Strike
The Boss will have 2 different CQC attacks. The first one (which she starts the fight with), requires a bit of timing to counter. As soon as The Boss stops Snake's strike, pay attention to her right arm. Once it rears back to strike, press the CQC button to parry and counter her.
The key to this parry is to react to the position of her right arm. Once it's no longer touching Snake's left arm, press the CQC button to perform the parry.
Don't Push CQC Too Early to Avoid Getting Hit
The key to nailing the timing is to delay for a bit after The Boss stops Snake's arm during the initial grapple. Pressing R2 too early or even spamming R2 (like in the original) will not work.
Press the CQC Button When She Raises Her Fist
When The Boss drops to 1/2~1/4th HP, her CQC attack will gain an additional punch after the first attack. This time, you'll have to parry her twice in order to pull off a successful counter.
Similar to the earlier CQC attack, her first strike in the combo is parried the same way. Then, when she pulls back her fist, press your CQC button again to parry and counter the second half of her combo. On the bright side, the timing on this second attack is more forgiving than the first one.

Contrary to the achievement text, you don't actually have to go ultra instinct and perform a no-hit run to get the Wax On, Wax Off trophy. You can easily get it if you manage to parry and counter both types of her CQC attacks.
Even if you fail to parry the rest of her attacks during the fight, as long as you parried each type once, you'll get the trophy.
