How to Get Cigar

Unlocked by Default

The Cigar is unlocked by default upon starting the game. It will be in your inventory once you retrieve your backpack during Virtuous Mission.

Cigar Effect

Removes Leeches

MGS Delta Leech on Snake
Use the Cigar to remove leeches from yourself. Open the Cure menu and select the Cigar and Snake will press it against the leech to remove it.

How to Cure Injuries and Illnesses

Illuminates Dark Areas

You can also equip the Cigar to hold it in your mouth and illuminate dark areas. Be careful, as keeping the Cigar in your mouth for too long will slowly decrease your LIFE.
