Do Not Eat Rotten Food

When Snake eats rotten food, instead of recovering stamina, he gets negative effects which may decrease his LIFE and stamina. For this reason, rotten food should generally be avoided as a source of stamina recovery.

Use Rotten Food As Distraction

Rotten food can be used strategically by dropping it on the ground. Enemies that come across it will investigate and may eat it, causing them to get sick. This can give Snake an opportunity to sneak past enemies or take them out silently.
