The final duel with Ocelot aboard the WIG has four different endings in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater (MGS3 Remake). Read on to learn how to unlock all the Ocelot duel ending cutscenes and find out which gun you should pick during the duel.

All Ocelot Duel Endings

| Pick up the SAA on the Right. | Unlocks the Ocelot Wins cutscene. Ocelot shoots Snake with a blank. Permanently unlocks the SAA for all NG and NG+ playthroughs. |
| Pick up the SAA on the Left and Shoot. | Unlocks the Snake Wins cutscene. Snake shoots Ocelot but finds out it's a blank. You don't unlock the SAA. |
| Pick up the SAA on the Left. Snake Shoots and Misses. | Unlocks the Snake Misses cutscene. Ocelot remarks that his luck has finally changed before leaving. You don't unlock the SAA. |
| Pick up the SAA on the Left but Don't Shoot. | Unlocks the Ocelot Loses cutscene. Ocelot asks Snake why he didn't shoot remarking that Snake's luck has beaten his again. You don't unlock the SAA. |
As you're escaping on the WIG, Ocelot will climb aboard and confront Snake by throwing his equipment off the plane. After this, he'll challenge you to a duel, asking you to choose between 2 Single Action Army Revolvers. You have the choice of picking the Left or Right SAA during this sequence.
There are 4 possible endings to the Ocelot duel. However, only by picking up the SAA on the right will you permanently unlock the pistol for use. Picking the SAA on the left locks you out of that gun unlock until you re-do the duel.
Should You Pick the Right or Left Gun?

Choose the SAA on the right when dueling with Ocelot aboard the WIG. |
Choose right if you want to unlock SAA, the Single Action Army weapon, and be able to use it on New Game Plus and any subsequent playthroughs. Shooting or not shooting after you pick up the SAA on the right will lead to the same cutscene and unlocks the Russian Roulette: Ocelot Wins ending.
Choosing Left Can Lead to 3 Different Endings But Won't Unlock the SAA
If you choose left, there are three possible endings depending on your next action. Shooting after picking up the SAA on the left will unlock the Russian Roulette: Snake Wins ending, where Snake uses a blank.
If you don't shoot, Ocelot's gun won't fire, as he ends up with a blank, leading to the Russian Roulette: Ocelot Loses ending. The third ending, Russian Roulette: Snake Misses occurs if you shoot but miss Ocelot. Regardless of which of these endings you get, it will result in the SAA remaining locked.
Does the Ocelot Duel Affect the Story Ending?
No, It Does Not Impact the Main Story
Regardless of how the duel ends, the main story's ending will not be affected. However, we highly recommend to pick the SAA on the right during your first playthrough to unlock it for future playthroughs.
