If you want to gain an advantage against The End, you can shoot the barrels next to him when you first see him in Ponizovje Warehouse: Exterior. If successful, he'll start with less HP and stamina during his boss fight.
Killing him early in Ponizovje is also an option if you have the SVD. However, do note that doing this locks you out of getting the Mosin Nagant.
This weapon is the best one you can use against The Fury (and even The Boss), so it's usually better to just damage The End instead of straight up killing him early.

The End's favorite sniping spots at the start of the boss fight can only be accessed from Sokrovenno North. Instead of shooting at him from range, it's always better to ambush him at his sniping spot.
Once the fight starts, go east and use the small path there to hide from the sniping spots The End likes to frequent. Sneak past these ledges to reach Sokrovenno North where you can flank him before he can get a shot off.
To deal max stamina damage to The End whenever you get the drop on him, use a combination of the Cigarette Gas Spray and the Mk22. Once you have his position identified, sneak up on him using Stalk. Once you're near, hit him with 3 Cigarette Gas Sprays.
When he collapses, run away from him to dodge his Stun Grenade. Once he starts running, pull out your Mk22 and shoot him. The first hit will momentarily stun him, and the next 2 will throw him onto his back.
Despite the fight being setup to be a sniper versus sniper battle, it isn't recommended to snipe The End since he repositions very quickly after being hit. It is better to stick close and repeatedly ambush him since it allows you to keep track of where he moves to next.
After your first ambush on The End, stick close to him when he flees. Dodge his Stun Grenades (by simply having Snake look away) then follow and track him by sight or by using Thermal Goggles to see his footprints.
If you pull this off, you can get a non-lethal takedown after 4 encounters, speeding up the boss fight considerably compared to the normal way of moving slowly around the boss arena.
If you lose track of The End after he moves between the 3 areas, bait out a shot to find his position. Then, once you've eyeballed where he is load the autosave to restart at the entrance of the area.
After loading in, he will still be in the sniping spot you last saw him in. Head over to where you last saw him, this time by flanking or sneaking up on him, and ambush him. This method allows you to track the sniper for free without having to suffer a tranq dart to the noggin.
Similar to his original fight in MGS3, The End's boss fight in MGS Delta can be skipped by saving after starting the boss fight then quitting out and advancing your system time by 8 days. In order to let him die of natural causes, a full 192 hours need to pass from the time you create the manual save.
| How to Skip The End Boss Fight | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Enter the boss arena then create a Manual Save after the cutscene ends. |
| 2 | Quit the game and place your console in Offline mode. |
| 3 | Restart the Console then change the date to be 192 hours (8 days) after the time of your save. |
| 4 | Start the game and load into the boss fight using your manual save. |
If done correctly, loading back in using the save will trigger unique cutscene, signalling the end of The End.
If you load the game before 8 days have passed you'll get a different outcome depending on the number of hours that have passed since the save was made. If less than 72 hours have passed, loading back in allows you to continue the boss fight as normal.
However, if you load in after 72 hours have passed, a cutscene will trigger where Snake gets thrown into the jail cells in Graniny Gorki Lab B1 East. You'll have to retrace your steps back to his arena in order to fight The End again.
Skipping the boss fight locks you out of getting the Mosin Nagant and the Moss Camo. If you want either of these items, you're better off fighting The End normally rather than skipping the fight.

Cigarette Gas Spray |
For this fight, the best non-lethal weapon combo with be the Cigarette Gas Spray and the Mk22. For your lethal options, any will do just try avoiding the SVD unless you really want to get into a sniper battle against The End.
If you managed to hold up The End during the fight, you'll have gotten the Moss Camo from him which, when equipped, recovers your HP when exposed in sunlight.
If you managed to take The End down non-lethally, then you'll also receive the Mosin Nagant - a powerful non-lethal bolt-action sniper that works best against The Fury and even The Boss, later on.
