How to Non-Lethal The Fear
Use the Mk22 Tranquilizer Pistol
Use the MK22 tranquilizer pistol to drain The Fear's stamina. Pair it with the Thermal Goggles to easily track his movements and spot him when he turns invisible.
If you have the Flecktarn Camo unlocked, you can switch to it in order to prevent battery charge consumption. This allows you to continuously use the Thermal Goggles for the entire duration of the fight.
Roll Into the Fear When He Tries Eating
The Fear restores stamina by eating food scattered throughout the area. When you see him stop to eat, quickly roll into him to make him drop the food and take stamina damage instead.
If you're playing on Extreme difficulty, failing to prevent The Fear from eating is an instant reset. Since Mk22 ammo is limited, you're better off restarting the fight if his Stamina recharges.
Use Poisoned or Rotten Food
You can toss Poisoned or Rotten Food into the area. If The Fear eats it to recover stamina, it will slightly reduce his stamina instead. However, do note that its much easier to stun him out of the eating animation (versus this method) due to his fast movement speed.

Defeating The Fear non-lethally unlocks the Spider Camo. Wearing this camouflage gives an 80% or more camo index across most environments, but at the cost of rapid stamina drain. It’s best used in areas packed with enemies where stealth is essential. Make sure to pick it up after The Fear's defeat cutscene plays.
