Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater is now available as of midnight, August 28, 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC players will gain access to the game at 9 AM EDT of the same day.

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This is the first time that the game will be playable on Microsoft platforms, as the original Metal Gear Gear Solid 3 was only released on the PlayStation 2, with a Nintendo 3DS version appearing years later.

There are four different versions to choose from: the Standard Edition, Tactical Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Collector's Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition offers early access to the launch and bonus in-game items, while the Tactical Edition and Collector's Edition each include their own unique bonus items.

Fox Hunt Delayed Release

Despite the delay, Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater will also have its own multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt. According to the developers, its core gameplay mechanics will be similar to the 2008 Metal Gear Solid Online. It is set to release by Fall 2025.
