What to Do When the Machine is About to Break
Avoid Other Players, Enemies, and Explosives
When you get notified that the Machine is about to break during City Trial, you must avoid taking damage for 20 seconds. Make sure to stay away from any sources of damage, especially other players who can attack you.
Stay On the Outer Grind Rail
One of the safer places to avoid getting hit is the Grind Rail that surround the perimeter of the City Trial map. If you can stay on the Grind Rail for 20 seconds and wait until the event ends, you can get the rewards with less hassle.
Pick Up Recovery Items
Recovery items will still function during this City Trial event. If you pick them up, you can prevent your Machine from breaking down completely and recover some of its durability!
Things to Avoid When the Machine is About to Break
Beware of Sleep from Red Boxes
Red boxes can carry Copy Abilities like Sleep, which will make your character fall asleep and lose control of their Machine. This will make it harder to avoid getting hit. It's advised that you avoid breaking open red boxes and act defensively during the event.
Sleep Copy Ability and Effects
Avoid Using Explosives
Explosive items and Copy Abilities like Bomb can have a large attack range. Don't risk getting caught in the blast and avoid using them so your Machine can survive the required 20 seconds.
Machine is About to Break Rewards
Get Power-Ups After Surviving
If you successfully survive 20 seconds without your Machine breaking down, your Machine will be fully recovered and receive some Power-Ups!
