Kirby with Chariot is a good pair for battle since the Chariot complements Kirby's overall stats. The Chariot is good in general for close-quarter racing thanks to its stats, which pair well with Kirby's Special Ability.

For racing, Kirby with the Wheelie Bike is a good choice because of the Wheelie Bike's stats in Speed, Turn, and Grip. Since Kirby has decent overall stats, they scale well with the Wheelie Bike. The Wheelie Bike's Boost is pretty low, but it's a fair trade-off for the other stats it has.
