Short Race Start Locations
Possible Locations to Join Short Races

When a Short Race event starts, it will take place in one out of the three possible locations shown above. The location is selected randomly, and you'll only have 20 seconds to reach the designated area and join the race.
Short Race Tips and Tricks
Join Earlier to Get More Power-Ups

Once you reach the registration area for the Short Race, you'll receive a random set of Power-Ups to help you in the match. However, the amount of Power-Ups you receive will depend on how much time you have left before the race registration period ends.
As demonstrated above, if you join with 10 seconds remaining, you'll get 5 Power-Ups. Meanwhile, if you join with 5 seconds remaining, you'll only get 2 Power-Ups instead. The earlier you join the Short Race, the more Power-Ups you'll get!

The position you finish in during the race will also determine the next amount of Power-Ups you receive as your reward. Getting 1st place will allow you to receive the highest number of Power-Ups and boost your Machine significantly!
However, you can still receive Power-Ups even if you finish in last place, so it's still better to participate in as many Short Races as you can rather than skip out on them.
