Kirby Air Riders - What To Do When Your Machine Breaks

Your machine can break and put you at a disadvantage in Kirby Air Riders. Check out what to do when your machine breaks and what the disadvantages are here!

What To Do When Your Machine Breaks

Find Another Machine

When your machine breaks, immediately look around and find another machine. In City Trial, there'll always be new machines that spawn in the area.

City Trial Guide and Checklist

Check The Durability Of The Machine

Kirby Air Riders - Durability Gauge
You'll see a durability gauge just above the speedometer. You can check this to see if the machine is about to break or not, and consider changing your machine.

Disadvantages When Your Machine Breaks

Moving On Foot

Kirby Air Riders - Moving On Foot
If the machine runs out of durability and breaks, your character will be on foot. Moving on foot is slow, so it's important to find a machine immediately.

You Cannot Pick Up Items While On Foot

Moving without a machine prevents you from picking up items and puts you at a huge disadvantage. You'll also lose time compared to other players who have a machine, so find a machine as soon as possible if yours breaks!

City Trial Guide and Checklist

Forfeit Races and The Stadium

In addition to moving on foot, in some races and Stadium challenges, you'll also automatically forfeit the race or challenge when your machine breaks. Keep an eye out for your machine's durability during these game modes!
